I'm pretty shocked at some of the posts I see here on DU.
Far too many posts citing all manner of things "about to happen" to bring down 45/140.
They link to absolutely nothing or they link back to some blog or Facebook page with no corroboration apart from the echo chamber.
Please be a little more thoughtful in what you post as "about to happen" or might happen or can happen. When you see such posts, consider the author. I know I do. And this has little to do with post count and everything to do with patterns and topics and the author's reputation here on DU.
I certainly recognize that, as a persuasion, liberals and Democrats are feeling pretty low right now. We are wandering the desert, as it were. We're starved for good news. In view of this, it is understandable that some are grasping at straws. I also think some of this sort of post are intentionally plucking at our anger strings to get us up, then down, then squabbling. No matter the cause or intent of these posts, in my view, they do more harm than good.
It says right there in one of the DU rules about conspiracy theory posts that we live in the Reality World. These unsubstantiated "about to happen" posts are hardly more than fake news or conspiracy theories - and that includes some that have a person's name associated with them as the source of the "info".
I'd like to see more of these alerted upon and more of them juried into removal.
This is not a blanket indictment of anything. just call to be a little more thoughtful about what you post, what you read, and what you maybe ought to do about some small portion of what you read.

Would my speculation be incorrect that STC has posted all manner of evidence-free claims against police, Trump supporters, and "white" people? Or am I thinking of another DU-bigot.

OK!! I had just taken a sip of beer and, while not laughing it out on the keyboard/monitor, I did on my shirt and shorts. The state of delusion the DUmmys live in could push thousands of doctorate of abnormal psyche through the system.

I registered and made ONE post to DU,and was immediately banned as the DUmmies started screaming,"He's a conservative from FR! EEEK! EEEK! BAN HIM!,and banned I was before I could make another post.
The left is NOT open to ideas. SOB's haven't had an idea since 1917.
