From Crain’s Chicago Business:

Chicago Congressman Mike Quigley is just back from a hush-hush two-day trip to Cyprus, the latest development in the probe of Russian intervention in the U.S. election and whether aides to Donald Trump colluded with it.

Quigley, a Democratic member of the House Intelligence Committee, which is probing potential Trump-Russia ties, wouldn't say too much about what exactly he found out during his two-day trip, in which he was accompanied only by a military escort. But he sure dropped some riveting hints.

"The Russians laundered money to avoid (U.S.) sanctions" over Russia's seizure of Crimea and other matters, Quigley told me. "That makes it front-and-center in this investigation. . . .Sanctions are the possible motives for collusion."

It has long been suspected that Trump is involved in Russian money laundering, but I always assumed it was for the Russian Mafia and other unsavory types. But if what Quigley said is accurate, it’s quite possible Trump was laundering money for Putin and/or the Russian Government itself. Which of course, Putin could then use to blackmail Trump, because aiding in the violation of U.S. Sanctions is surely a serious crime.

Not to mention the suspicious fact that Trump’s hand-picked Commerce Secretary, Wilbur Ross, was until recently the vice chairman of a bank...based in Cyprus. Hmmm wonder if he was involved...

1. The whole gang is complicit.

There's a reason drumpf put all these people in office, to help him give what he wants to Russia, to obscure what he's really doing and to destroy our government from within. All the family, Sessions, Price, Tillerson, Flynn, Manafort, Page, Ryan, McTurtle were all involved in the collusion to promote Russian interests and the theft of our election.

3. I find it amazing that so much information is out there, but the wheels of justice are so slow in...

connecting the dots. They've been working on this since mid-2016, right? We knew about Wilbur Ross' connection to the bank in Cyprus when he was nominated. Didn't they? Was he questioned about that during his confirmation?

My biggest fear is that we'll never know the whole truth. What little we DO learn will be exposed to prove this mob's collusion, but not enough to put them all in prison. Being rich, white and (in some people's minds) important, the Big Guys will probably get a slap on their wrists and retire with their ill-gotten wealth.

Surely, since Ryan and McConnell are in Congress and hold such responsible positions, they will fall into the "his ass is grass" category and they will both end up behind bars. We know Trump will never eat prison food, although it would be a saving grace in the eyes of the world if he did spend time and, just maybe, the world would forgive us for exposing them to Trump.

I guess we can only keep the faith that the CIA. FBI and DOJ will deliver, but I'll probably not live long enough to see it come to fruition.

one can only hope... ::)

11. If this is about money laundering it makes me wonder who else was involved because surely Trump could not launder it all so I now I am wondering what the varies Congressional Repugnants were doing at the time like Ryan and McConnell? Were they to involved in helping Russia launder money to avoid the sanctions? It could explain a hell of alot why they and so many other Repugnants have been stonewalling an independent investigation in Russia's actions during and before the elections.

what about the millions to Hillary?

19. I keep hearing "this is it" "motive" "proof", etc. Again and again. yet seems like nothing proceeds. So far, still just pissing in the wind.
I wanna see something concrete. And something happen.

27. So, this is crazy.

There are the Koch Bro Rethugs and the Russia's Bitches Rethugs.

It seems to me that Cheeto is frantically doing everything he can on the Koch Bro wish list (EPA dismantling, deregulating everything) before heads start rolling on the Russia stuff. Do you think the Kochs are going to help Cheeto when the shit hits the fan? Are the Kochs are in bed with Russia too?

There is so much bad it is hard to make sense of.

probably because none of it is true...

CRAP, SHIT, ****, ****ITTY ****! There goes another fifty to my schadenboner on when kos.com would become a source for the DUmpmonkies. At this rate my schadenboner will be booking suites at the Bellagio for weeks at a time. I'm going to have to take out a seco...ah first.

I bow down and tip my hat to the DUches being so predictable. Being predictable, really crazy predictable, is a sign of super intelligence.....easily over 135 IQ.

Wait a minute, Devin Nunes was excoriated from receiving some intel on the capitol grounds, but the demonrat asshole secretly travels to a foreign nation and then leaks information to the media? He sounds like a treasonous fellow.
