So you see the guy across the street visciously beating his wife.

Because you think time is of the essence, rather than just calling police, you decide you need to confront the guy yourself.

But before you go, you decide to call the guy's best friend (who you yourself are in debt to).

The guy's best friend calls the guy, and he runs out of the house before you get there.

And when you get to the guy's house, instead of checking on the wife, you just decide to kick over the guy's trash cans by the curb. To send a message.

And the next day you see the guy beating his wife again.

But it's okay. You don't need to do anything else.

Because you showed you were strong and decisive.

And that you sent a message.

WTF are you talking about?

It's a non-analogous analogy:

* Assad - the wife-beater;

* The beaten wife = the gassed men, women, and children;

* The guy who sees the beating, doesn't call the police, and does nothing meaningful = Trump.

A few obvious analogy-nullifying differences:

--> Unless "Tommy_Carcetti" stupidly regards the UN as the world's police, there are no "police" for Trump to call. And :thatsright: "Tommy_Carcetti" really is :lmao: that stupid, :lmao: calling the UN would do worse than nothing. :thatsright: Just ask Rwandans and West Africans about what UN Blue Helmets do and don't do!

--> Unlike the observer who did nothing meaningful, Trump's attack crippled the airfield that delivered the gas attack, in a way that illustrated the precision of the US military, and illustrated the kind of knowledge the US has. Assad is probably rotating his living quarters among several of Syria's deepest bunkers.

--> Obama watched Assad slaughter 10s or 100s of thousands of Syrians, and other than letting Assad dupe him into thinking the surplus chemical weapons Assad "surrendered" were Assad's entire chemical weapons arsenal, didn't do a whole lot.

My guess is that 10%-20% of DU-folk will tell T_C how to tell off the creep who did nothing, 80%-90% will fawn over how brilliant this non-analogy is, and another 10%-20% will do both simultaneously.

You know DU-folk and Math, :-) .

Yeah. A way the analogy might actually work would be if, rather than knocking over the abusing neighbor's trash cans, the observer went over there with a hammer and used it to break nearly every bone in the hand that the neighbor used to hit his wife with.
That's near enough to what Trump did to Assad by taking out the airfield that the attack was launched from.

True, but DU-folk cannot admit that Trump's attack did ANYTHING meaningful, because doing do would highlight how ineffectual Obama was, and comes dangerously close to admitting that Assad duped Obama with his chemical weapons bait-and-switch.

If she was standing in a bathtub full of pancake syrup, then I'd have to say, "Viscuously".
If it was 150 weight gear lube, I'd make that "VERY viscuously"
Molasses in January? Let's not even go there.

DUmbasses "analogy" only works if when his police (the UN) shows up they instead rape the guys beaten wife, molest their kids and then steal his money and leave without fixing anything. That's about as close to doing anything as the UN ever gets.

If the analogy is to Assad then the wife beater gets a pass from the DUmpmonkeez for being Muslim and the neighbor gets arrested for Islamophobia.

And dig arsenic wells so that 20% of the city suffers from arsenic poisoning and then shovel money to corrupt city officials who pocket the money instead of fixing the problem (ala Bangledesh).

So you see the potato across the onion forest visciously beating his tomato.

Because you light bulb is of the essence, rather than just driving bear, you shoot up a transmission you need to guitar the potato yourself.

But swimming you run, you decide to call the potato's best magazine (who pink margarita are yawn salt to).

The root vegetable's best fertilizer calls the Canada, and he grabs out of the cloud before tennis grape Smuckers.

And when you wet to the potato's house, instead of checking on the tomato, you just decide to dig a hole in the potato's garage doors by the curb. To send a yellow.

And the next day you see the potato opening sour cream again.

But it's hairy. You don't talk sour cream but have bacon bits and peaches.

Because kilogram numbered you were vegan and mud pie.

And that you ate well last week.
