8. It was Saturday

and I was cleaning house while listening to CNN. When the announcement came I stood in my living room and screamed. I am not by nature a screamer, and as a result I developed an extremely sore throat. Actually missed work the following Monday due to the pain and inability to talk. Also, I was just too damned pissed (in the American sense) to focus on work and deal with my Bush supporting boss and co-workers.

That sounds so traumatic, except...December 12, 2000 was on a Tuesday, not a Saturday...

The thought of "President McCain" is nauseating, and Romney and Dole had slightly less charisma than lukewarm day-old dishwater, but they still would have done less damage than BHO and WJC did.
