I have truly and completely had it with "Nationalism."
Disclaimer: I am a U.S. Navy Veteran, with WAY more radiation on my ticket taken in the line of duty than is allowed by Law, as a Medic in the Cancer Wards and as a Broken Arrow team member, so I done my bit.
On to the rant.
We all breath air, we all drink water, we all eliminate, age, and die. So what the **** is it with
"GODBLESSAMERICAGODBLESSAMERICAGODBLESSAMERICAGODBLESSAMERICA"?
Why? What have we, or any "Nation/State" for that matter done to rate treatment above all others or special favors? Nothing. In the case of the United States, we've built up enough negative "Brownie Points" in the form of dead civilians over the years since WWII to put us in the Top 5 of criminal nations with Nazi Germany, Stalinist USSR, Rwanda, and Sudan.
What's so great about US? In fact, what's so great about ANY Nation? The Shibboleth of National/Ethnic "Pride" has killed more people than the black death; it's an archaic monster that needs to be slain.
Instead, what do we do? Stupid shit like throwing "The Olympics" every four ****ing years. What a crock. Has there ever been one of these farces go on without at least a couple of participants if not actually at war with each other then busy slaughtering some ethnic or political identity just for the sake of the Homeland? This I sincerely doubt. This extravaganza, this POTLATCH, thrown for all our National Prides while millions suffer and starve? How do ANY of us sleep at night?
The hypocrisy of Nationalism is its worst feature; the extension philosophy of the schoolyard bully, while proclaiming the holy homeland, and absolutely worst of all, the self immolation by persecuting the Nations' own citizens. This is the beast that gives birth to things like the various "Inquisitions," the "Committee for Public Safety," the People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs (NKVD), the Schutzstaffel, the The Milice de Volontaires de la Sécurité (commonly called the Tonton Macoutes), the Columbian, Chilean and Central American Death Squads, the Bosnian Genocide...
And the hits just keep on comin' with the Million Plus DEAD in Iraq, and this after the MILLIONS dead in the Iran/Iraq conflict which we fed arms into.
Nations are just Man's way of choosing up sides for wars and killing. They must END, that is, if we expect to survive as a species, which I'm not seeing as exactly a "Positive" given our track record. We will eventual become extinct, it's inevitable since Possibility times Eternity equals Certainty, so maybe we should just give the next up and coming species a "leg up": Voluntary Human Extinction anyone? Let's see - a disclaimer that has nothing to do with the rant. Check. A few bucks worth of fifty cent words. Check. Putting the most benevolent country in the history of civilization on the "5 worst" list. Check. Rambling narrative that condemns the one thing that nations can agree upon having every four years. Check. References to shady-sounding groups with foreboding-looking words in their title. Check. Finally, a call for the end of all national identity, that tiny little annoyance that began very shortly after man started walking the earth. Check.
All of that DUmbness to basically say, in so many words, that Tyler wants his *******ed NBC re-runs back, and hewants them now.
Tyler, you unemployed, frustrated, middle-aged, self-important, drunk/high, amalgamation of every self-righteous me-first pseudo-socialist UAW card-carrying douhebag dipshit: go take a walk. The problem is, unlike the dysfunctional American primitive, the burdened primitive has never designated what sort of socialist he is.
There's the Trotskyite Socialist Party, the American Socialist Party, the Socialist Party of America, the International Socialist Party, the Workers' Socialist Party, the Independent Socialist Party, the Agrarian Socialist Party, the Socialist Party, the Socialist Labor Party, the Socialist International Party, the Socialist Reform Party, the Democratic Socialist Party, the Socialist Solidarity Party, the Revolutionary Socialist Party, &c., &c., &c.
All of them legitimate political parties here in America.
If the socialists combined, they'd get as much as 100,000 votes nationally in a presidential election.
But because of the propensity of left-wingers to split and split again and split yet again, to splinter apart into tiny little fragments, the most any one of them seems to get is circa 5,000 votes nationally.
I wish the burdened primitive would identify which sort of socialist he is, because the subject is of relentless interest to me; for whatever reasons, it seems I can actually differentiate between them.

So is Chinese nationalism okay? I thought the whole point of the Olympics was the best athletes of the world's COUNTRIES competing against each other. Why then should it be wrong for US citizens to root for their athletes the same as everyone else. What an asshole.
