I am so tired of the stories about how the Russians influenced our last Presidential election.
Does anyone on the forum really believe the Russians influenced the election and if they did WHO did they influence to change their votes?
-
I picked number two, since there was not an "Of course not, Comrade" option.
-
From watching way too much news on Fox, but also reading quite a bit online, the whole thing boils down to Russia doing the same damn thing that the DNC, RNC and MSM do.
Not counting the release of Podesta's emails, if that was the Russians, fake news stories and trolling are what the Russians are accused of doing.
As for the emails, Hillary's campaign and the Dems repeatedly said there was nothing in them to influence voters.
The whole investigation into Trump and Russia is a witch hunt by by Dems and anti-Trump GOPe to undermine the Trump administration.
-
I voted against Bill Clinton in 1992 and 1996 because I recognized how corrupt his character was. He and Hill have proven how understated my opinion was.
-
I voted Nope, just tired of crooked democrats, but actually I am just tired of all crooked politicians in both parties.
-
Famous Russian spy Anna Chapman did her best- and I do mean her best - to get me to vote for Donald Trump, but it didn't work.

OK, I admit that I succumbed to her charms, but I still voted for Gary Johnson!

That was a lot of temptation to over come.

You surprise me, I would've thought the finger on the bang switch would've been a deal-breaker. I, on the other hand, regard it as a teachable moment and would be glad to give her remedial instruction on where fingers should go.

I never noticed until you said something. Distracted by her Russian charms.
I like to live dangerously!

Had to vote for a little Russian influence since I took a couple stiff shots of Stoli before going in and voting for Trump. :whistling:

Nope, what influenced me was the name Hillary Clinton on the ballot. Under NO circumstances can anyone named Bush or Clinton be allowed in the WH again. Not even as guests.
If my choice had been between Clinton and Satan,I would have voted for Satan as the lesser of two evils.

I am so tired of the stories about how the Russians influenced our last Presidential election.
Does anyone on the forum really believe the Russians influenced the election and if they did WHO did they influence to change their votes?
1) The Russians almost certainly hacked the DNC, Hillary's rogue email server, and just about every other source for high value political information on the U.S. that they possibly could. The DNC and Hillary's server were laughably easy targets and I wouldn't be suprised if the Chinese, NK, other hostile nation states, and perhaps some random hackers were able to do this as well.
2) Wikileaks may, or may not, have gotten the information from Russia. It's possible that Russia used front-people to facilitate the leak to Wikileaks even if Wikileaks doesn't know it. But, it doesn't really matter.
3) There's not one scintilla of evidence that Trump or the Trump campaign conspired with the Russians on anything. NONE. All of this is just one of many smear jobs by Dems, Lefitsts, and the so called self-described "Resistance". They're throwing spaghetti at the wall hoping something will stick. The smart ones know that he can't be driven from office with this nonsense, but they're hoping to undermine the President's perception of legitimacy in order to cripple his agenda and undermine his political power.
4) There's zero evidence that anything the Russians did had any discernible impact on the election results.
There was no actual hacking of the votes by Russians, or at least no evidence that they even attempted a hack, much less pulled one off.
Most probably the only substantive fraud that occurred was facilitated by Democrats.
(As with Bernie Sanders)
5) The goal of Russia, as well as the Soviets before them is not to get a particular person elected, but to disrupt the political process and sow doubts about the process to undermine the political system.
Like everyone else they almost certainly thought that Hillary would win and probably wanted her to win because they almost certainly have all those compromising emails from Hillary's server that the American people don't have access to--perfect for subtle blackmail.
They thought she'd win and their goal was to undermine her legitimacy and presidency--to weaken her to create a strategic advantage for themselves. This is their modus operandi.
The ironic part of all this is that the Dems and the Left are working to do for the Russians what the Russians couldn't do themselves: Undermine the legitimacy of a U.S. president.

Agreed. It's impossible to argue the point that Hillary's stupidity and arrogance made the whole damned thing incredibly easy to hack. C'mon, guys. We're not dealing with simpletons. Even the Norks can afford someone who can open an unlocked door.

No, it doesn't. The end result is still the same.

On November 7th, I watched Hunt For Red October while drinking some orange
joooos juice. Next thing I knew, I was voting for Trump.
Of course, I was going to vote for him anyway, but still...
