Lessee . . .
Once I was swimmin' 'cross Turtle Creek,
Man, those snappers all around my feet . . .
Sure was hard swimmin' 'cross that thing,
With both hands holdin' my ding-a-ling-a-ling!
RIP, Mr. Berry. A true American original.

RIP Mr. Berry. As a youngster I saved up pop and beer bottles to get the deposits, saved up enough to buy a ticket to see Chuck for my first concert.

RIP! There might not be Rock n Roll if it weren't for Chuck, or least not as we now know it.

No doubt about it: Chuck Berry left a permanent mark on rock-and-roll that will be there forever.
