Title: I'm finding myself dehumanizing Deplorables and conservatives more and more

I confess--I'm finding myself dehumanizing Deplorables and conservatives more and more...

...and it sickens me. In another thread today, I compared Republicans to a "crazed mutant horde" in a Mad Max film, and also to cockroaches. How far a distance is this from calling Jews "subhuman vermin"? Or using the N-word against a whole race of people, to deliberately degrade and dehumanize them? Or any of the other words--Kulak, Dago, Gook...? Using derogatory terms like that, or comparing human beings to animals and/or insects...that's how it starts. But *knowing* all this, I still can't bring myself to really regret my own use of such terms. If I feel--as I do--that "conservatives", as a group, want to destroy liberal democracy, and are committed to domination over others by class, gender, and--of course!--race...and that the Deplorables are their ultimate Useful Idiots, people willing to destroy their own lives in order to get back at Them--however one defines "Them"... Well, I know now how things like revolutions, reigns of terror, purges, terrorism, get started. I am going to make a conscious effort to root out this kind of thinking from my consciousness, and strongly urge the rest of DU to do likewise. But when things inevitably get worse these next four years...the effort will get tougher and tougher..

oh, yeah.... it you guys.

3. The humanness of Trump voters is not in doubt. All too human in fact. I just remember don't have to give bigotry a chance.

5. Meh this is kids stuff. I'm of the belief that their brains are genetically different than ours and they deserve to be treated horribly. I don't have conservative friends and am proud of that fact. They are vile, filthy people (often literally).

6. Exactly. From what I'm reading, these people started cheering just now that trump suggested breaking up the federal courts and started chanting "lock her up" for literally no reason.

They are ****ing troglodytes.

Shouldn't "Gook" earn "First Speaker" an Alert? "Kulak" makes no sense, and "Dago" demeans a people from a white European nation, but "Gook" is pretty un-PC.

Liar. The left is all about dehumanizing what they don't like.

They start with it's just a clump of cells like a tumor.

Kulaks (Russian: кула́к, tr. kulak; IPA: [kʊˈlak] ( listen), Polish: kułak) "fist", by extension "tight-fisted"; kurkuls in Ukraine, also used in Russian texts (in Ukrainian contexts) were a category of affluent peasants in the later Russian Empire, Soviet Russia, and the early Soviet Union.

eh... maybe he's calling them cheap?

You know, some years ago on Skins's island, cousin nadin pointed out that one of the most common tactics of humiliating people was by giving the impression they were less than human--turning menschen into untermenschen--"human" into "sub-human"--and she said that in the context of franksolich's contrivance of "primitives" to describe the freaks and oddities that make up the membership of Skins's island.

The cousin was right; I'd purposely invented the term when we were all still at our old home, circa 11-12 years ago, to suggest precisely that.

It's a degrading term, and meant to be degrading.  But one can't blame me for that; the primitives by their own attitudes and conduct showed themselves thusly, and one should call something by what it is.

Surely the sparkling old dude, for example, doesn't expect to be described as a cosmopolite, rather than what he really is, or our good friend Atman as an intellectuel--don't make me snort and laugh.

First, I think this is masterful trolling.

Second, A big part of me believes that this is the true leftist heart as history has proven.

Third, this shit makes it easier to pull the trigger.

Very few liberals at DI will condemn violence against conservative citizens.

I think the Left is being deliberately manipulated to get violent.

Pretty easy conclusion considering the recent statement from the former AG.

18. Treating people "horribly" for their genetic variations?

Hm, where on earth have I heard that before?

I'll say it again: Get help. Hatred is a killer.

The kulaks were rounded up, shipped off to camps, imprisoned, forced into slave labor, and exterminated by Stalin's Communists.

The DUmmy's use of the word is probably wishful thinking.

Look primitive, no conservative cares what some dimwitted liberals thinks about them. Your input on any number of issues is of little to no value. So think what you wish. It holds no meaning.

What's a shame is that none of you libs can remember this from one moment to the next after we've explained it to you for years and years.

Is actually shortened from Hangkuk.  Korean, for people of Korea.  So = people.

That may be the etymology, but it came to be used as a derogatory word during the Korea War, and later in Vietnam (as best I know, Korean and Vietnamese are not of the same language "family").

The N-word - maybe similarly - morphed from common-usage dialect based on the word "negro" into a racist epithet.

Obviously, in the context of the post by "First Speaker" "gook" is used as an epithet.

And we point and laugh at you, wallowing in your impotent rage.  Face it dummie... you are stuck between a rock and hard place. The rock is President Trump and the hard place is the people that voted for him. Trump is playing with you like a cat does a mouse before the Puddy Tat eats it.  The people that voted for him are going to be completely turned off by you calling them names, and hence will vote for him again.

I laugh at you. We all laugh at you.  My advice is for you people to call President Trump and his voters more names. Destroy their property. Riot.  The whole nine yards.

In 4 years you will discover the benefits of doing that.   :rotf:

I'm personally regretting not taking the time to go shout "kraut!" at Angela Merkel the other day when she was in town.  I think I'll go find a local Italian restaurant and shout "WOP" at them instead.

I would go tell off-color Polack jokes to my Polack friends, but they all think that Polack jokes are funny as hell, so that won't really work. Dammit.
