I KNEW this would happen...
People here were so obsessed with the idea that Trump's tax returns would have a smoking gun showing criminal activity, that anything less is seen as a failure of journalism.
Trump's actual tax payments, and his desire to eliminate the AMT (which would allow him to pay less) is newsworthy. Sorry if it's not enough.

Then there was a commercial. Then it turned out the documents she had showed nothing of the kind.

It's going to be like this for at least 4 years, and the chances of a four-year subscription renewal are looking high.
Unless "brooklynite" is some sort of forum pet, he's going to get pizza delivery for how often he mocks and deflates DU-folk over stupidity like this.
Oh, and that AMT thingy? The people hit hardest are ordinary people working at entrepreneurial companies that reward employees with stock options and purchase plans. Trump isn't worried about his taxes, just the crazy-stupid things many ordinary people have to do to avoid AMT traps.
