Post by: Chris_ on August 10, 2008, 10:56:03 PM
In addition to his fleet of jets, limos, mansions, and carbon credit scams...

He's continuing to do his part, to protect the ecology of our planet  :cheersmate:

On board a nice 100' long, million plus, houseboat  :thatsright:  :lmao:

Edit 1: I've no idea if the site or story is legit...

Edit 2:  Sorry BC, but much like the thread title Canada Poon is misleading... so is the link to Pajama Media... sigh

I'm going to show my ignorance. Where do "carbon credits" come from? Do they make'em in China? Sell'em at WAL-MART? ...or does AL just "poooof'em" outta thin air?

I'm kindda leaning toward the thin air answer myself.

Carbon credits.  What a scam!  These people claim to plant trees and invest in renewable energy (and probably make money hand over fist in those investments).  Plus they buy carbon credits from themselves.  There is ZERO oversight, so who knows exactly where your money is going to.  Hopefully someone in Congress will start up a bill to put regulations on these bozos.

IIRC the albore owns the company that he buys his "carbon credit" from.  I'll look for the site and post it up if I find it again.
