Trump STUPIDLY declassifies FISA warrants against him in a tweet!!!
The FISA Warrants against the Trump campaign have been known about and reported on for weeks via a leak. The leaker could be prosecuted if caught because FISA warrants are classified and are state secrets.
However, a president may declassify anything.
By making these wiretaps public via a tweet, Trump has declassified them, so the original leaker can no longer be prosecuted AND details of the FISA warrant can now be obtained by news organizations via a FOIA request!
The man is a complete IDIOT and is only making things easier for people to get to the bottom of it! To compare this to Watergate, this would be the equivalent of Nixon giving the tapes to Woodward and Bernstein!
... so illegal leaks about the wiretap are now legal because Trump mentioned them? ANMD you want to get Trump to get into trouble for leaking them? ::)

1. I think the way this works is the authorities can listen to the U.S. end of a conversation.
It doesn't mean Trump's phones were bugged.

He just told people that there has been a wiretap on his phone. On him. There must be probable cause to get a tap. A judge gave access to a tap because there's evidence of a crime, or collusion with a foreign government.
In other words. THE FBI ALREADY HAS EVIDENCE OF A CRIME, OR COLLUSION WITH A FOREIGN GOVERNMENT. Or there wouldn't be a wiretap.
He told on himself. Unwittingly.
No- you don't get it either. Trump says there wasn't any information of crimes uncovered. Pretty sure that's true or Barry's goons would have already released them. The big story is Barry's goons spying on other americans.

5. According to reports on MSNBC this am the phones are NOT tapped. Only one computer that communicates with Russian banks was under scrutiny.

There is a specific process the Pres. or who ever has to go thru to declassify any information, and it involves a bunch of people getting involved, signing off, etc.
what he did was reveal still classified info.

I don't know how true this little nugget of information is, but I have heard that the wiretap was still maintained after the tap had proved fruitless. Which would mean right up until noon on January 20th, 2017. Obama also allowed the NSA intercepts to be shared with the other 16 intelligence agencies that the US has, which virtually guaranteed that the info would leak.

Actually, the FISA courts do require 'probable cause,' which is why it got shot down in March of 2016. However, to put it in in October 2016, it's fairly likely that they invoked something called 'Title 10,' which significantly loosens the regs for 'probable cause.' Yes, I heard that on FNC yesterday. (I think that Title 10 is some sort of military stipulation.)

Their version is you are "smart" if you are dead broke, rely on government assistance, have no friends in real life, get together with other life losers on a message board, and have alienated all of their family. Ours and Trump's version of "smart" is being successful, not requiring government assistance, having many friends in real life, and having loving families.

It probably was. The dissemination of the information was definitely not done to agencies with a 'need to know.'

To add to that, by sharing the intercepts with the other agencies it made it even harder to find the source of the leaks. Which, of course, was the purpose of the sharing in the first place.
