Title: Pedro Picasso discovered us

This is an old bonfire on Skins's island, from right after we moved here from our old home.

I didn't want to mess with any of the Edwards or Obama bonfires today.

Now remember, this dates back to when our old home was down, and we just got started here.

Anyway.

DU "I Told You So"-ers check in

How many of you have been saying, for probably a year now, that the media will anoint McCain and Clinton as our candidates? Clinton didn't win anything in NV, it was a tie delegate-wise, but you'd never guess it from the media coverage. McCain wins one crummy state at basically the same time Romney wins one crummy state and suddenly McCain is back from the dead and all but certain to win the GOP nomination. After just two primaries and two caucuses. Who cares what the other 46 states have to say.

No mention of John Edwards even existing, of course. And DK? Who is that? It's just "Hillary-McCain!" all the time. Just like I, and I know many other DUers said so, all along. The American people play virtually no role in this process except at willing dupes lapping up every pos lie the Corporate Media throws at us.

2. Obama takes SC...then what ?

The rich kid grazing primitive, the Obamaite primitive who gave the cboy4 (who despite prolific internet rumors, is NOT franksolich's mole on Skins' island) so much grief the next several months:

13. And they're going to select ... who?

Most of them have already gone with Hillary.

The old sourpuss again:

12. These challenges are starting to sound like being a spoil-sport.

Accept the results and move on. After all, that's what WE'RE required to do, and no one will allow us to challenge a ******* thing.

17. So again, why is the Coporate Media calling it a lock for Clinton

When it is obviously anything but. Why wasn't THIS discussed on the talking head shows this morning instead of wasting another hour or three debating what Bill's role will be, or what color drapes Hillary will choose for the White House?

11. Perhaps you didn't understand what I said.

This is about delegates. OUR votes don't count until November (theoretically, though I doubt they'll count then, either). Delegate-wise, Clinton did no better than Obama, so she really didn't "win" anything. Kinda like buying a $5 lottery ticket and "winning" $5.

27. I wish I could find this week's "Get Your War On"

Doesn't seem to be on the web site, but I saw it in the local Alt Weekly...the woman saying how she looked forward to having the Clintons back in the White House, putting the furniture back where they wanted it. The guy says "You actually WANT Hillary Clinton as President?" She says "It beats getting my hopes up!" Ain't that the truth.

34. That would be me.

I also had grave doubts about Pelosi's efficacy when she was anointed Speaker of the House but I kept silent, at least for awhile. I didn't want to rain on anyone's parade after the 2006 election but, yes, I knew she was a tool and I knew what WOULDN'T happen -- and it hasn't.

I truly do wish I had been wrong about both of them.

44. Nancy's Done A Great Job. I'm Proud Of Her.

Course, then, I really don't expect that you'd be able to be objective as to the job she's done, what it entails, what is and isn't realistically possible or strategical, and what one truly has to go through being in that position.

43. Well, John Edwards Is Basically Sinking, And DK Is A Nobody In This Arena. Let's Be Real.

Obama is very much still in the media but John Edwards, as much as I like him, is just not really a serious contender at this point so it's not the biggest surprise that he wouldn't be talked about much. As far as Kucinich goes, well, he may need to do a bit better than 2% if he wants some airtime LOL. Don't blame the media for not yappin him up; blame the 98-99% of Democrats who recognize his candidacy is a joke and not one with any real legitimacy (i.e. hope in hell of having ever been a contender).

The old grumpyass again:

Just sayin.

BTW...does that shithole even exist anymore? It's like they've all moved off to some sort of conservative cave or something. The place is deadsville.

Always good to know who the Visitor are.

Well, Pedro Picasso is pretty peculiar.

He lurks here for several minutes late at night, every night.

It has to be Pedro Picasso, because he reads only those threads here involving Pedro Picasso, and nothing else.

It's sort of like going to a big banquet where there's lots and lots of food, all kinds of food, and all of it free to whoever comes by.....and simply stealthily snatching a couple of pieces of celery, then running away.

This is really silly, the propensity of lurking primitives to come here at night, when they think they're "safe."

Of course they're safe; but the deal is, they're safe during the day too.  They're no less safe under the light of day than they are under the cover of dark.

It sounds sort of juvenile to me.

And now that the corporate media has chosen Obamassiah, Pedro is a willing puppet who gladly stuffs envelopes to help elect the one appointed by his corporate media masters.  He complains that he's nothing but dirt to be stepped on, and then he jumps at the chance to be trampled under the foot when it comes his way.  Typical Pedro, so wanting to be significant.

7. You Can Spin It However You Want.
It was pretty easy to read between the lines though, with all due respect. Regardless of the words you used, it was quite clear from the OP that you were writing it with the intention/tone of which I referenced above. You were blatantly trying to connect the two as if the proof of one now makes the other true. That's just illogical though.

And no, I don't necessarily see the issues as completely separate, only that the existence of one has nothing to do with whether or not the other did or didn't in fact occur. If the latter did occur, then it would make sense their motivation for having done so. But if the latter didn't occur, then there is no connection to begin with.

I also found it a bit humorous that you posted this thread to begin with, as if some new huge revelation had occurred. In order to bring any validity to the motivating factors of the OP, there would have to be an inkling that those who didn't believe the election was stolen, in large part kept themselves from believing based on having faith in the administration as if they DIDN'T lie about the war. And that, my friend, is monumentally silly in its premise.

Who here didn't already know about the lies? Who here is surprised at the findings of the report? Who here would now say "Wow!!! They're dishonest??? I should REALLYYYYYY take a second look at the whole election thing now. I mean, who thought they could lie???"? That's why I found the OP to be silly and illogical. There is nothing new whatsoever that bolsters your case

9. Gee, Someone's Sensitive To Strong Logic LOL. Had To Devolve To Personal Attack That Quickly Huh?
Can't help but thinking that after your recognition that I just handily dismantled your position, that you were only left with the tool of empty personal attack in your arsenal. Pretty weak bro.

No biggie though. I have no real desire to get into these "you're a poo head!" battles anymore, so have yourself a good day

I think it is HILARIOUS that he thinks someone pWning him is worthy of note.

It's like posting threads that the sky is blue.

*waves*

It was some time last November or December, when we all were still at our old home, that some sort of "counselor" teaching Pedro Picasso how to deal with his extreme paranoia advised that he simply ignore us.

I don't know if this counselor was a bona fide medical professional or a social-worker type or one of these "Buddhists" who "teach" serernity, meditation, contemplation, whatnot.

But anyway, I thought, yeah, sure.

Ever since Pedro Picasso had to take that one job stuffing envelopes for political causes, he's posted, generally, on Skins's island only early in the morning and late at night, and weekends.  One imagines they don't allow lowly clerical staff access to the internet there, and so Pedro Picasso has to wait until he gets home, and post on his own time.

Pedro Picasso lurks here late at night.  I never figured out these ISP (internet service provider) things, and haven't even tried here, because three-quarters of them are from Georgia, Texas, and Virginia, which means they have to be fake ISP numbers, and so I have no idea if a guest is Pedro Picasso.

Excepting when a guest comes here and reads only those threads about Pedro Picasso, and nothing else, and then leaves, well, the logical conclusion is.....  I can't imagine there's anybody else in the world who would read only Pedro Picasso, and nothing else.

You forgot the all-important word "infantile," sir.

According to Sigmund Freud, Pedro Picasso fits the profile.
