5. I believe there were a bunch of ambassadors there.

If that is wrong then so be it but have not heard anything differently.

6. Don't get your panties in a bunch...

It was a Heritage Foundation event during the RNC...

In July, Sessions attended a Heritage Foundation event at the Republican National Convention that was attended by some 50 ambassadors. A small group of ambassadors, including Kislyak, approached Sessions and talked to him informally, the Justice Department official told the Post.

“It was short and informal,” spokeswoman Sara Isgur Flores told The Wall Street Journal.

Probably the rabbi shouldn't be so paranoid about what we're up to.  Usually what we're up to is pretty harmless anyway.

Still trying to Himalayanize an anthill without even having an anthill.

An honest (i.e. not rhetorical) question, were there similar events at the DNC which were attended by foreign ambassadors? Given the kinds of leaders who would be at the DNC and the perception at the time that Hillary would win, my speculation would be that there were. I don't think that's a question that would occur to "liberalguy".

For as many times as the primitives prematurely ejacu--er, jump to conclusions, one thinks they'd be trigger-shy by now, afraid to jump at all even long after it's safe to do so.

Liberals in the 50's, 60's, 70's, & 80's ----> Hooray for the USSR!!

Liberals in the 90's, 00's, up to 2016 ----> Those poor Russians were better off before the fall.

Liberals in 2017 ----> Boooooo Russia!! They're evil!!

Their reaction never has added up. Still doesn't. Can only be for political purposes.

In which case ---->  :yawn:

I know this is at least partly "old news": (http://www.businessinsider.com/why-jeff-sessions-spoke-to-russian-ambassador-rnc-2017-3)

Quote
As a State Department spokesperson told Business Insider in an email, the State Department has invited foreign ambassadors to both the DNC and RNC "as observers of our democratic process" since the 1980s. The State Department manages invitations, logistics, and security, and ambassadors are responsible for their own expenses, including flight and hotel accomodations. The convention committees develop the programming the ambassadors participate in or attend.

In this case, the Heritage Foundation was one of the organizations that sponsored the Global Partners in Diplomacy conference, the one at which multiple news outlets reported Sessions and Kislyak spoke following an address Sessions gave to attendees. The State Department was unable to confirm which dignitaries were in attendance at both the RNC and corresponding DNC events, or whether Kislyak attended a corresponding DNC event ...

The "old news" (for me) is that the Obama State Department invited various ambassadors - not just the Russian ambassador - to observe at the 2016 RNC. What I had not seen before is that there was, indeed, a corresponding event at the DNC and that this kind of thing has been done for some 30 years.
