In an exclusive interview, Mexican Ambassador to the U.S. Carlos M. Sada said the Mexican government would take back Mexicans who are deported from the United States but emphasized that the Mexican government would refuse to reimburse the U.S. for the construction of a border wall.

I don't think the US would accept a Salvadoran illegally sneaking into Canada through the Maine woods or Washington back country, I'd bet a ten-spot this is just a reciprocal of current US policy toward other countries. I don't really have a problem with it, it's a reasonable position from Mexico's point of view. Stating they'll accept back the Mexican deportees is a big step, one of the big problems with criminal deportations now is that the country that owns the SOBs won't take them back.
