I just do not get it- why would any minority person back Trump or be a Republican at this time?
It boggles my mind why anyone who is not a racist white person would want to back Donald Trump or the Republican party at this time in history. Why do they not understand that if these people are successful in building their white supremacist regime that they themselves will later be discarded and living among the lower echelon in society? Why would one back people that despise them? Do they not know that racist despise them? I just do not get it. Why are they doing this? Can someone please explain it to me? People like Rubio and Ben Carson just freak me out. My brain is screaming ' Do you not know the people you run with think you are beneath them?'

Because for 50+ years, Democrats have done nothing to help minorities improve their lot in life. Poverty rates and unemployment for blacks reached new highs under Obama. Crimes by and against blacks increased while school choices decreased.
Black home ownership also dropped. But hey, they got some ObamaPhones didn't they?

This should scare DU-folk. trump was one of very few Rs in recent election cycles to get more than 10% of the "black vote". At this point I'm hoping blacks scare DU-folk even more in 2018 and 2020 (and beyond).
As for "luvMIdog", the solution to his/her quandary lies in his/her assumptions, not with blacks who voted for Trump.

He's a brave soul, asking such an obvious troll question at the 122 mark.

How many people of color did Obama bring out of poverty? None! He increased the rolls of food stamps and all other welfare programs. Biggest fool ever.
