Expect A Purge Of Federal Government Regardless Of Civil Service Laws. Or Loyalty Oath Or Be Fired.
Trump and company know no bounds. The law is irrelevant to them. In their view they make the law or abrogate laws they do not agree with. We really are on a new road to complete lawlessness and corruption. And the GOP is at the top of the heap. Nothing matters to them except brutal power. Sorry but outright murder is on the table with the GOP in the end.
Sure what I have said sounds extreme and may be. But based on what is happening every day anything is now possible like it never was before.
hopefully the persons who broke the law and leaked classified documents to the press simple move from their federal job to a federal cell.

Like I keep saying, I wish the Rs were as effective as TMN professes to fear.
IMO, GWB's two biggest mistakes, domestically, were not purging the FBI and Justice Department of Clinton operatives, and not hunting down the CIA leakers who tried to sabotage him.

I'm late to the party on this "deep state" thing.
That's a phrase that's been showing up quite a bit, but I wasn't paying attention.
And I'm wondering if it's--the phrase--is being used appropriately and accurately.
When I think "deep state," I think the bureaucracy and other institutions laying under the veneer of who appear to be the bosses but really aren't. In other words, the "deep state" is why Ronald Reagan and the second George Bush couldn't do all the good things they wanted to do, because they were leaders in name only, not in fact. (The same reason "reform" mayors never succeed in corrupt Democrat-machine controlled cities.)
They were obstructed by holdovers from their opponents.
There's much to be said for the spoils system, where the winner fires all the loser's people.
Unlike the primitives, I'm aware the blade cuts two ways; the spoils system would hurt Republicans just as much as it'd hurt Democrats. But I think it's worth a try, the president having the right to pick everybody, from his cabinet and his right-hand man to the cleaning-woman who scrubs the marble floors of the Capitol building.

Indeed. He was far too kind all around, and the Left just ripped that off and beat him about the head and neck with it. Being nice enough to review each US attorney individually instead of simply firing them all on January 20 didn't just blow up in his face, it flat-out went nuclear.
Lesson that everyone should have learned by mid-2001: never, ever play nice with Democrats because they absolutely, positively will never reciprocate.

HopAlnog has a broken clock epiphany.
State just got a "Blood Bath." DoJ will get the same and with any luck the EPA will just be ended. It will be interesting what happens at HHS but I'm betting "Blood Bath" too.
This a great big feature of Trump, not a bug!

Considering that so many holdovers in a lot of agencies have started unofficial Twitter accounts like @RogueEPA, @RogueNASA, there should be purges.

I liked this article on who or what the deep state is.
