Are we getting close to 25th Amendment time?
Section 4
Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

4. We're beyond 25th amendment and approaching orange jumpsuit time.

5. Not with the GOP in charge in Congress, we're not
Remember, they covered for Reagan's Alzheimer's for almost 7 years as he got worse and worse. Even the Democrats were befogged.
Unless 45 has a major breakdown on the air, so major no one will be able to deny something is seriously wrong with him, they want him in for at least 2 years so Pence will get 2 full terms afterward. So they think.

7. congress isn't relevant for amendment 25, section 4.
only the vice-president and the cabinet. (well, congress is relevant if donnie challenges it).
that said, it's perhaps even harder to imagine the people who just got their prestigious stations from donnie quickly turning around and stabbing him in the back.
and you know donnie surely interviewed for loyalty above all else....

8. Should be but the GOP seems to believe it's in their interest to continue with the status quo.
At present they're covering and protecting Comrade Cheetoh. As long as he'll go along with their agenda and do the dirty work they're generally good with it, and worst case they can use him as a scapegoat at some point. A very dangerous game that may well blow-up in their faces.

Bargaining stage?

Simple disagreement and outright hatred doesn't mean the 25th Amendment should be invoked.

I think the last time this even came close to being brought into play was when President Reagan had been shot.

Yep! Takes the primitives a lot longer to go thru the stages than it does with normal IQ people. I figure they might reach acceptance by 2024. :rotf:

Let's revisit that statement in, oh..... say, two years, shall we?

Bush 43 self-invoked it a couple of times for a few hours during medical procedures. One was a colonoscopy, as I recall. Since he was going to be under anesthesia (or at least a "twilight"), it was a perfectly reasonable and responsible thing to do, but the DUmpmonkees went bonkers, of course.

That's because of the visceral hatred that DUmmies have for Darth VP Cheney. :whistling:

Geez! DU's Mods should step in and consolidate all the Trump-is-crazy-because-25th-Amendment threads into one, just so such threads don't metastasize and consume DU. If they did, in 4 or 8 years it should swell to the point of breaking DU's RYO steampunk forum software.
-
Note to lurking DUmbasses.
President Trump is playing you like a fiddle. :lmao:

I've always said Skins needs moderators, whose main but not only job would be to merge threads of duplicate subjects, as we do here. It cuts down on the clutter, focuses the discussion.
As it is now, Skins's island usually has about 70 or 90--or something--threads about one thing, because each primitive wants to be a thread-starter, not a mere thread-commenter.
Primitives have a problem with ego.

BTDT, got several T-shirts. I suppose the duplication/multiplication increases DU traffic, through people posting versions of the same stuff multiple times.

Extremely good point.
They will get to acceptance in the middle of President Pence's 2nd term.

Just like the leftist msm. It is getting hard to distinguish the alphabet media from the DUmp. By mid March I expect a complete merge.

I don't think I'm going to hold my breath. We will get occasional relief when one strokes out here and there, but the increasing outrage will continue perpetually. It's what they do
