Title: "Without Us, Your Country Is Paralyzed" - Illegal Alien "Day Without Immigrants"

"Without Us, Your Country Is Paralyzed" - Undocumented Workers Plan Boycott "Day Without Immigrants"

Per a flyer that has been floating around the migrant farmworker community in California, illegal immigrants are planning "A Day Without Immigrants Boycott" for tomorrow.  As part of the effort to demonstrate how vital illegal immigrants to the U.S. economy, "undocumented, residents, citizens, immigrants from all over the world" are encouraged to participate in the protest as follows:

        Do NOT attend work
        Do NOT open up our businesses
        Do NOT shop online or in stores
        Do NOT eat at restaurants
        Do NOT buy gas
        Do NOT attend class
        Skip School
        Do NOT send children to school

The flyer also has a direct message for President Trump:

    "Without us and our contribution this country is paralyzed!!!!"

    "We might lose a day of work but we will WIN so much more."

Pretentious Eateries Participate in 'Day Without Immigrants' Protest

 In the DC Metro area, the restaurant BusBoys and Poets will close, despite the fact that a Trump supporter recently tipped one of its African American waitress hundreds of dollars, as will all of restaurateur Jose Andres’ establishments. Andres has long battled with Trump.

Andres told NPR "it was a very easy decision" to close his restaurants. Of course, because President Trump was forced to sue Andres after the celebrity chef broke with contract and pulled plans to establish a restaurant in Trump's D.C. hotel.

Celebrity chef Rick Bayless is also on the roster and said he will close four of his Chicago restaurants. Other famed eateries like Blue Ribbon Sushi in New York will also close.

NPR reports that "thousands of immigrants are skipping work; not shopping; not eating at restaurants, buying gas, or sending their children to school."

"LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis says immigrants, regardless of legal status, contribute 40 percent of LA County's gross domestic product: almost $300 billion a year. It's incumbent on us to be brave, which we're prepared to do," Solis said.

"To step up; to say to him, not in my house; not in my county; not in my state.'"

As usual, the Left is conflating immigrants who came to this country with a desire to be Americans, with illegal immigrants, because it makes for a decent hashtag on Twitter.

Day is almost over.

All I have heard about is lighter than normal traffic.

I guess they were planning a huge action to get a shrug response.

My Hispanic housekeeper showed up yesterday no problem.

Maybe they can do it every day.  I hear the traffic was light in some areas.

Not only that, but if they're passing it around the migrant farm worker community, the timing for this was stupid, a reflection of the organizers' ignorance of CA agriculture. In the middle of February, they may just have started picking fruits and veggies in the very southern part of the state. MAYBE. At the very earliest, the asparagus season won't reach central California - the Stockton-Sacramento areas for another 4-6 weeks; considering recent weather, 6-8 weeks is more likely (can you guess what one of my Dad's principal crops was?). Tomatoes are harvested much later in the year, in the late spring through summer.

 :thatsright: :rotf: IOW, there's very very few migrant farm workers working right now in California. :rotf: :thatsright: Thugs in Berserkeley and SF are borderline clueless about how their food reaches their tables. :thatsright:

Considering that she probably credits the output of every business that employs at least one immigrant to immigrants, why only 40%? She pulled the stat from somewhere dark, odoriferous, and, probably, excessively substantial.
