I'm feeling a new love for impeachment.
I didn't want to see an impeachment proceeding because I didn't want to see Trump removed and Pence take over. I still don't want to see that, but I'm thinking the impeachment process might be a good thing, since removal will not happen anyway.
Remember how Bill Clinton was crippled by his impeachment? His last two years in office were spent in some kind of limbo. And Congress conducted zero business while they were busy trying to impeach him. Sooooo... If we could somehow get the process started, and draw it out as long as possible, we could accomplish a couple things. First, no legislation and probably no appointments. Second, we would find out all sorts of interesting stuff about this president and his cronies.
Of course, there is almost no chance Congress will even entertain the possibility of impeachment. Trump said he could shoot somebody in the street and get away with it, but I think he was being too modest. He would have to do far worse than that. But it's fun to think about.

They will never get over the fact that former democrat president Bill Clinton wakes up every morning and goes to bed every night with the stench of impeachment forever emanating from every pore of his body. It is a crazy obsession. Their world will never have balance until a Republican president has been likewise impeached by the House.
But when and if it does happen some day, it still won't be balanced because, the original impeached president (Andrew Johnson) was a democrat too.

"DU-folk lie, all the time ...". Impeachment was one of DU-folks' Great Prog Hopes starting on November 9th, if not earlier (probably not earlier, since DU-folk were talking crowingly of rubbbing Trump voters noses in the CHILLary landslide they expected).

For those of us who monitored, laughed at and ridiculed DUmmies throughout the Bush #43 Presidency, this is nothing new. Frequently these "smartest people on the internet" would seize on something that should bring Bush down. In their feeble brains. Nothing ever came to fruition.

I missed all that entertainment. The political forums I was on in the Bush years didn't have a live entertainment forum like The DUmpster. One homeschooling forum had some denizens who had DU-like potential (Can you say, chad?), but I bailed from the place in early 2001 (not for political reasons).
