I lost my lunch today
I was having lunch in a restaurant today, minding my own business. There were four older folks in a booth behind talking rather loudly.
The woman behind me was chattering on and on about how horrible undocumented people are and then one of the guys with her started yapping that he doesn't even think legal immigrants should be allowed to stay in the US. BY that point (Being and immigrant myself) I had enough...just as I finished lunch one of the women started to go on and on about the protests and how horrible they are. Then the guy with her proclaimed that they (the protesters) are paid and making 50.00 an hour. Wow! I'm all for that, that's more than I make.
I asked them where I sign up to protest and how they know about this. Their response was that it was Fox News who told them. I asked where Fox had found that out. Their response was that it must be true if Fox told them. The implication was that Fox wouldn't lie.
By that point I had to get out of there. I swear to God I am leaning more and more for a civics test in order for people to vote. The stupid is so profound. I fear for the US.

6. went to the eye doc today
sat down in the waiting room and said aloud to my wife, " I see congress is having a 2 for one sale. Buy one republican senator and get another one free. Do you want to put an bid in on Marco Rubio?".
She laughed, I laughed, everyone else looked at the floor and didn't respond at all.
I guess my new glasses allow me to see much better than most.

I heard that from my son whose dad told him "it's all true" when my son said he wouldn't do some carpentry work for him with fox on.
My son.. "no it's not". The tv got turned off.

16. I literally lost my dinner the night he was elected...I saw the headline on the internet and ran into the bathroom and threw up. And I've continued to do so irregularly after I finish my evening meal. My poor husband has to endure hearing me barfing up what I have just eaten. I am getting back but it still happens now and then and I'm embarrassed by it. But my doctor is kind and understanding. I also have a physical conditiion (low sodium in my systrm.) which I am working on (restriction of fluids).

100% agree. Republicans now and Conservatives eventually would run every aspect of Government forever.

Hell, I don't even care about which way they lean, but in order to vote, one should have to pass the test that naturalized citizens have to pass.

Came in and said in a booming voice "Merry Christmas. We can say merry Christmas again." "Happy holidays" I boomed back. Everyone stared at me and moved a couple chairs away from me.

It's lunatic sillinesses like this that reveal that a :bouncy: is purely fauxny. Now, if the notional "four older folks in a booth behind" had been laughing at the fact that the paid protesters weren't even paid as much as $15/hour, that would have been realistic. Because real life conservatives have pointed this out on multiple such occasions and mocked the Prog-organizers' hypocrisy.

Nope. You missed them shaking their heads. Being normal people, they had come there for eye checks, not a provocateur making political snarks, hoping for an argument.

This is just more emulation of what they imagine were the TEA Party's actions to turn the country around and bring it back to it's senses the last 8 years. I hope they keep this up. Abnormal people acting abnormally is going to have the opposite effect as normal people acting normally.
