Oh my.
I'll bet the sparkling old dude isn't a happy camper this evening.
Too bad; he's old enough to understand that one wins some, loses some.

Manchin just voted "aye" for Sessions!
Hope all Democrats remember that, among other votes of his.

Obama in 2012.
<<<remembers that^^^. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
Varied primitive reactions. Should be of moderate interest, but no more than that.

25. Do you have a Democrat in mind who can throw around money like Rockefeller did?
He spent $12 million back in 1984 to win the Senate (just barely) back when $12 million was a ton of money in a small state like WV.
Spending a lot of money to win a campaign is only bad when rethuglicans do it.

The left & DUmmies are going to be literally and figuratively out of shape for the next 8 years.
Good times.

Manchin, for the first time in his political life, is scared shitless about the next election. Especially since he was one of the dem super delegates that helped nominate obumbles. He will be lucky to keep his seat in 2018. Lots of pissed off unemployed ex dem coal miners in this state.

Yes he did, beat Arch Moore. Arch had bumper stickers saying "Make him spend it all". Was a pretty close election. Keep in mind this is the same state that kept reelecting Bob Byrd... even after he voted for the assault weapon ban back in like 94. Oh and we do have another conservative dem, just won the election for governor, and his wealth is in the billions. Name of Jim Justice. Acts like Trump with a WV accent. He owns the Greenbrier hotel and lots of idled coal mines.
If he chose, and the word is he might cause him and Trump are big buds, he could bury manchin in a primary.

I remember seeing those stickers when I was running my delivery routes, kinda wondered what they meant. LOL!!! Thanks for the clarification.
Now if we here in Virginia could do something with Kaine and Warner...
Won't be easy with the NOVA vote...

BTW... our current GOP senator, Shelly Moore Capito, is Arch Moore's daughter. Arch Moore was a very popular GOP governor in a dem state back then. Shelly is very popular as well.

I remember when she first ran for the House.
I also remember when the WVTP was finished, I got a certificate at one of the toll booths with Arch Moore's name on it. He was governor before Caperton, right.
I've been traveling that state for a long time!! LOL!
