The vast majority of left-wing protesters arrested on suspicion of politically-fuelled offences in Berlin are young men who live with their parents, a new report found.
The figures, which were published in daily newspaper Bild revealed that 873 suspects were investigated by authorities between 2003 and 2013.

I would say we have similar figures here with basement dwellers

If they aren't living with their parents, then it's only because their parents shipped them off to college.

No surprise there.

Twelve people were killed and 48 others injured when a man suspected of being an asylum seeker and part of the Islamic State terrorist group drove into a Christmas market in the country's capital.
But as the country mourns the tragedy ahead of the festive season, it was revealed that Merkel had put massive pressure on unions to speed up the process in which unskilled refugees could be trained as lorry drivers.
It could have been worse. She could have trained them with explosives.

I spent a good number of years in Berlin (back when it was called West and East Berlin, depending on which side of the Wall you were on) and the preponderance of snot-nosed punk kids is generally rather high.
Especially in some of the working class districts such as Kreuzberg and NeuKölln where you find the biggest concentration of foreigners, there are a lot of problems with crime, burglary, etc. (Lest I be accused of being a bigot, let it be said for the record that if you wanted to be accosted by a gang, all you had to do was take your ass to Kreuzberg late at night and parade around -- guaranteed you'll find trouble.)
Germany being the socialist country it is and whose citizens readily look on their government as being The Great Benefactor :thatsright: , it's easy to imagine how Mutti und Vati coddle young Jürgen as he makes his way through life through most of his twenties. After all, the snot doesn't stop flowing until Junior's outta dodge.
