I can't believe what I'm hearing on Neil Cavuto's show.
There's an idiot on there promoting an ordinance in Los Angeles that would require businesses to provide shelter for...are you ready...ILLEGALS!!.
Yes folks L.A. wants to force places like Home Depot to put a roof over the heads of the illegal day laborers.
Hear that thundering sound?
That's businesses stampeding towards the Arizona border.

Not just businesses -- I am pretty sure I am leaving and taking my 6 figure income with me.

I still can't imagine why Mrs. Sparky loves that cesspool so friggin much.
Then again, here in NH my yard is floating away and it looks/feels more like Seattle in March than NH in August.

Come join us in Texas sir. I think you'll like it there. :-)

just a reminder, California expects a 17.9 billion dollar deficit, Shwartzie would like to cut the state's employees pay down to minimum wage, and when Tancredo (I think it was Tancredo) asked Shwartzie if he could'nt save a little by cutting the benefits to illeagls Shwartzie tole him to mind his own business! but if you in anyway think this is unfair you might be a racist! :mental: :rotf:

I thought California had a state mandated "minimum wage" law of something like $18 dollars an hour? ...and that's why legal and illegal workers flock there. Even the under the table cash wages are high because of it.

That's my plan -- I will probably move as close to DFW as possible. It will give me 1/7 of my life back, since I will be able to commute most places in the country in the morning instead of an all-day slog.
It will also give me $26,000 in my pocket, based on comparisons I have done. That is a lot of money. I'll miss the So. Cal weather, but I only get it on the weekends anyway.

Oh, that's not the half of it. Right before I moved out, an illegal in charge of an "immigrant rights" group up in Oxnard was pushing for a "living wage" of AT LEAST $15/hour for day laborers.
The word, ladies and gentlemen, is chutzpah.
