So, when does FEMA show up in Mississippi

and Alabama following the devastating severe weather that has killed 20 people?

I looked on the FEMA website, and there's nothing there in their news releases:

https://www.fema.gov/news-releases

Oh, Donald, your attention is required to set FEMA into action....Donald? Are you there?

Doesn't FEMA assistance have to be requested by the governor? Has that happened yet?

The Governors of the two states have to declare a State of Emergency and ask for federal help, you mindless cretin.

Trump pledges aid for storm-hit Georgia, Florida and Alabama
Source: Reuters

22 JAN 2017 AT 15:08 ET

President Donald Trump pledged federal assistance for Georgia, Florida and Alabama after the southeastern states were hit by severe storms.

Trump said during a White House ceremony that he had spoken to Georgia Governor Nathan Deal and planned to speak with Florida Governor Rick Scott about the storms.

Trump said he expressed his condolences.

“The tornadoes were vicious and powerful and strong and they suffered greatly,” he said. “So we’ll be helping out.”

8. "vicious and powerful and strong and they suffered greatly" - SUCH ELOQUENCE

Did the tornadoes suffer greatly? Had I written that sentence in my high school journalism class I'd have been beaten mercilessly.

16. More "Play-Doh?" That's what he and Pence unloaded at a previous disaster.

23. Haven't heard much about this - have any of these governors declared a state of emergency?

Why would the federal gov't be sending aid if they haven't? Doesn't that set a dangerous precedent? Is the damage worse than I've been reading? I'm in Florida by the way.

27. Freezing hiring isn't going to make this kind of thing happen with the necessary speed.

Sometimes something is so stupid it just goes beyond belief.

That moldy meme was so stupidly false that, IIRC, even Snopes debunked it. And I don't think Pence was there, either.

Utterly irrelevant.

ETA: Snopes' debunker is a bit weasely, but it debunks the claim that Play-Doh was all Trump donated. (http://www.snopes.com/donald-trump-play-doh-lousiana/)

So the only problem groundloop sees with Trump's response is Trump's grammar.

I remember the DUmmies and other liberals laughing and belittling the fact that Trumps donation included Play-Doh and other toys for children.

They are asses. I'm sure the parents and kids were happy to have something to play with during the time.  Trump also donated food and water along with dozens of other groups.

Did any other groups think about the kids? If they did, I never heard about it.

FEMA is not the best disaster aid organization.

Same thing in Nashville.  Eventually there was some FEMA aid, but there was no President Zero flying in on Air Farce One to go walk arm-in-arm with our governor to survey the damage.  In fact, the national media pretty much completely ignored the 100-year-flood here at the time that it happened.  Those red states deserve it for not voting for the Obamessiah, don't they?

Exactly! I was going to add, "... because Republican governors."

Here's MM's answer (http://www.ajc.com/news/state--regional-govt--politics/albany-aims-for-fema-help-for-storms/r3HYjULgPKOu42YaIyvDvM/), on two levels:

1.) The Governor of Georgia has just begun the necessary and prerequisite disaster declaration process;

2.) The storm happened on January 2nd, so if proper process should have been bypassed, Obama had 19 days in which he could have done so, but didn't.
