The number of Democrats who have announced they are boycotting Friday’s Inauguration of Donald Trump as the forty-fifth president of the United States has now passed a dozen with more expected after Trump dared to respond to sharp criticism by Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) calling Trumps presidency “illegitimate”.
List of Congressmen who have stated their intention to not attend Trump’s inauguration (partially compiled from The Hill and Politico.)
Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-IL); Rep. Katherine Clark (D-MA); Rep. Jared Huffman (D-CA); Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA); Rep. Raul Grijalva )D-AZ); Rep. John Lewis (D-GA); Rep. Mark DeSaulnier (D-CA); Rep. “I will NOT attend the inauguration of @realDonaldTrump. When you insult @repjohnlewis, you insult America.”
No senators have announced a boycott yet, though several Democrat senators have not announced whether they will attend or boycott.

If only there was a way to detach the entirety of California and just let it float out into the Pacific somewhere.
Far away.

Mostly obscure Reps, except for Luis Gutiérrez, Rep. Barbara Lee, Rep. John Lewis, and Rep. Maxine Waters. BaaBaa Lee was Ron "Red" Dellums' (for those who've listened to Rush a long time) chosen successor. She and Mad Maxine have been in Congress for decades. Their districts, like most in CA (D and R) have been designed to be non-competitive, so they aren't going to be ballot-box retired. They'll either retire voluntarily or leave DC in a mahogany box, due to old age. I doubt Baa-Baa or Mad Maxine are much respected in the House, outside of the CBC.

I take this as a win-win.
That much less cluster**** in D.C. during the festivities.
I personally wouldn't set foot in D.C. during ANY inauguration, regardless of party/candidate.

More Democrats Join Boycott Of Inauguration, Now 19
There are now 19 Democratic Representatives, including Lewis, saying they will spurn Trump’s swearing-in in favor of focusing on their constituents or even taking part in protests and ‘resistance’ movements.
They include four members of Congress who said they would not attend after Trump hit back at Lewis on Twitter Saturday, saying the lawmaker – who once campaigned alongside Martin Luther King Jr – was ‘all talk, no action’.

Just the Looney faction closest to the Pacific; lots of great folks in California not close enough to hump one another's rear ends in the central and eastern state.
Cities have always been overrun with vermin, both the two-legged and four-legged varieties.
And one type is no more easy to eradicate than the other, but personally, given my choice, I'd settle for putting all liberal infestations on the extreme western side of California, then forcibly detaching their libtardise out to sea, courtesy of some dynamite charges.
Anything they would henceforth seek to export to the United States can be charged a 35% tariff. What's one more tax to the stupidest people on the planet anyway?

quite a few people of color in that boycott list. Imagine the outrage and cries of racism from the left in any white congressmen had boycotted either of obama's inauguration.
and now the soon to be unemployed president is suggesting that Trump reach out to these whiners..
The Obama administration has urged incoming US president Donald Trump to “reach out” to the growing faction of House Democrats who have pledged to boycott the presidential inauguration, as some representatives question Trump’s legitimacy, citing the Russian hacking scandal that continues to plague the transition.

the reaching out was done when they received their invitations to the inauguration.
edit...
looks like Trump has "reached out to lewis"...

The loons are mostly concentrated in the Land of LA and several cities just to the north, and in SF-Berserkeley-Oakland. LA is CA's largest city, and SF the 4th largest. You could toss Santa Cruz and Sacto into that mix.

Obviously. Democrats are natural born losers. Winning is antithetical to their nature.

The one-third sane Californians occupy, I'm guessing, roughly two-thirds of the state.. As for the city chumps voting for the traitorous bitch Hillary, well cities tend to be breeding grounds for both four AND two legged rats.

Knowing how personal Trump takes insults like this, he might just not show up for the inauguration in 2024 if a Dem wins.
