Title: Do You Think This Election Could Drag Onto January 20, 2009?
Post by: Ptarmigan on August 07, 2008, 07:59:57 PM
Do you think this year's election could drag well onto January 20, 2009? I have a feeling this election will be too close to call, especially in Florida, Ohio, and Virginia, which have large number of electoral college votes. The 2000 Election was too close to call in Florida and New Mexico, but Florida was at stake because of more electoral college votes.

It's a crap shoot in Florida.  I lived in West Palm Beach during the last fiasco that was made by Wexler and a few WPB commissioners.  Since then they replaced LaPore, a straight shooting Supervisor of Elections - [who by the way had been a Democrat] with one of Wexlers hand picked flunkies.  They trashed the butterfly ballot, that was almost a joke it was so easy.  They also went and spent Millions on new voting machines and the idiots are still having trouble with them, eight years later.  West Palm and Ft. Lauderdale - [the seat of the problems] are still Democratic strongholds.  Two Palm Beach Commissioners that were political strongmen then are now in prison, Folley is gone, and the other Commissioners are trying to make sure they don't get caught with their hands in the till.  The new Governor is Crist and I don't know how much strength he has to carry the state.

I don't think FLA is in play for BHO.  Or VA or Ohio.

I do think Oregon Michigan and NH are in play for the GOP

I think that by November, America is going to hate Hussien so much, he might not even win Massholechucetts.

with all the ammo waiting in the GOP library to be shot back at the golden child at high velocity, McC should be well over 300 EC votes

Remember that Barry "Goldwater" Obama had his best showing in states that he doesn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of carrying in November anyway (Idaho, Utah, Nebraska, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, and somesuch), while the worthier candidate for the Democrat nomination did at least okay, if not well, in traditional Democrat constituencies.

My prediction about the election in the nocturnally foul one's sticked thread still stands, and with each passing day, it seems to be creeping towards that resolution.  If I were a Democrat, I would concentrate upon solidifying strong Democrat candidates, and shoring up weak Democrat candidates, in offices lower than the presidency, as working for the top part of the ticket is going to prove a waste of time and hopes.

I think BHO will come in about 10% under what he exit polls at, it will look close at first because the Press in invested in BHO, but McCain will pull steadily away as the actual returns come in...leading to four more years of tremendously amusing conspiracy theories about Diebold and stolen elections on DU.

Oh, that will happen. Mark my words.
