This Facebook right wing attack on Meryl Streep needs some DU love
It is receiving some really stupid responses.
One word to describe Meryl Streep, the stooges are making words out of strings of letters.

Meryl Streep is a bitter old miserable woman. What you see on the screen is her portrait of Dorian Gray.
I would just leave her to her misery. She probably highers poor naive college interns to run her social media anyway. Probably doesn't even pay them if she does.
Besides, I'm too busy winning to go and bother an old, nasty troll who participated in the making of Mamma Mia! which is the worst thing ever made by Hollywood.
If I were going to troll her, I would probably write a script based on the Buzzfeed "dossier" letting her think a revenge movie could be made and she could star. But I have no doubt that Seth MacFarlane is already working on such a script as a follow-up to that awful Western thing he did.

Yeah, I saw that, that was hilarious! Poor Harambe.

Trump should push for repeal of the Hollywood tax breaks. Make Hollywood adhere to GAAP. Also take away the write offs celebrities get for merely showing up, only expenses and not in kind contributions.
Hit them in the pocketbook and watch them shut the **** up.

If this is true, we simply CAN NOT allow Trump to become the next President!!!

Honestly, I would be much more interested in him making the federal government adhere to GAAP. He could accomplish nothing else in his Presidency other than this and I, an avowed #NeverTrumper, would gleefully call his entire Presidency a gigantic success for the rest of my natural-born days.

One fb reply that I liked was one which pointed out that Streep, who claimed to be taking a stand for human decency, gave a standing ovation to the convicted child- molester Roman Polanski at an Academy Awards ceremony, and later said that she was "Very sorry that he's in jail."

This description is misleading, unsurprising for a DU-member. The question is open-ended: "Describe Meryl Streep in one word" (or something like that). One could could respond with "Goddess" as easily as with "Bitch". What lNp actually dislikes is the responses. Personally, I thought the ones I saw quite apt, but then lNp and I probably wouldn't even agree about liking bacon.
Meryl Streep showed negative class, hijacking a supposed movie industry award show to preach her political views. Hollyweird being Hollyweird, its denizens cheered; there was zero courage or risk in her preachment. In Hollyweird such acts and preachments are orthodoxy. Her "consequences" will be further worship from other Hollyweirders.
By way of contrast, the Ditzy Tricks' Hate-Bush rant may have been "safe" in the venue where they spoke it (London, IIRC), but they probably knew there was a risk of some backlash, though the degree of backlash may have surprised them. 11+years on, the CMA seems to be OK with them but it seems like Country music listeners much less so.
