Is there anyone else here
besides me who is thinking/hoping that somewhere there are some powerful and smart people in Washington working on a plan to legally prevent the disaster that is scheduled for January 20th? I don't know who, when or how, I just hope.

1. HOPING,
not expecting.

2. Hoping too. But even if Trump impeached or something, we still end up with a Pence or Ryan.
But, I really think it's 99.9% likely Trump will be our Prez until 2020.

4. I think
his mental and physical health will prevent him from finishing a full term. And if he is still in office in 2018 I think he will lose Congress.

5. Pence and Ryan are terribly wrong in their ideology, but they are not mentally unstable.

6. I think much their ideology is based on mental instability.

8. They have different kind of mental problems.

3. I had hope that the disaster would be averted at the Republican Convention. But now....
I'm afraid a historic disastrous period is ahead for our country.....
The Republicans in Congress are hysterically jubilant at their majority, and somehow think Trump is going to allow them to do anything they want, which I doubt.
The only institution which is capable of perhaps preventing some happenings which might occur is the C.I.A. Those guys don't mess around. And we might never know what they did. I've always had a negative opinion of the agency, thinking that they are rogues, unaccountable to anyone. But in this case, maybe they are the only ones who can do anything to prevent disasters. And I have a strong feeling they know enough about the Twitler to take him down.

7. How's this for a hope
Great, powerful people haven't done anything yet because they are casting the net so wide. In the end Trump, Pence and Ryan all go down for the count.

11. I like the sound of that.
It would be great if all his cabinet selections are included. No way did Trump and Putin cook this whole thing up by themselves. Hundreds if not thousands of people are involved.

9. Hoping, but I think that hope is a reach.

10. Yes. Hoping against hope.
Just can't believe this can really happen.
It's a cold dreary dark damp January evening here in the Sandhills of Nebraska, and it appears to be that way all over Skins's island too. The primitives just aren't putting out. At my end, to keep myself awake, while I'm exploring Skins's island and posting here, I'm also watching Waterloo, from 1970, the second-greatest movie ever made.
This is probably about the thirtieth time I've watched this DVD of it since getting it a few weeks ago, but because of "gaps" in "hearing," every time I watch it, I catch something new I hadn't caught before. So it's all good.
The expression on Napoleon's face when told that Marshall Blucher was on his way to help the Duke of Wellington is probably the same expression on Messalina Agrippina's face when she was told the returns from Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin were coming in.
One of those moments where one hopes one's wearing brown pants.

President Donald Trump.
Savor the sound of the words lurking primitives.

They just love their fantasies of totalitarian purges.
Do you even see what you write, DUmbasses?

Speaking of crazy:
-
Once upon a midnight dreary, watching vote counts, weak and weary,
As Hillary Clinton loses her place like some old forgotten whore—
While I'm sobbing, headahce splitting, across the TV bad news ripping,
As if some one harshly shredding, fiercely stripping, taring and tossing my soul upon the dirty floor.
“’Tis some Trumpster,” I muttered, “to taunt me like they did about Al Gore—
For four years, then four years more.”
Ill add more verses later.. too tired, :-)
-
Well my heavens. That's quite an awesome start. Could be one for the archives. Rest up.

You mean like...a perfectly legal political party? Like millions of voters?

H5 duly earned and freely given!

What sore loser-children! Adding up all the R losses I can remember - Goldwater, Ford, Bush, Dole, McCain, Romney - there have been infinitely more schemes proposed and fantasies wet-dreamed on DU to overturn this Presidential election than I heard in R and conservative circles after all those losses combined. "Infinitely more" because I heard zero such schemes and fantasies from Rs and conservatives.

Judging from the tone of their forlorn comments to each other, it seems that the DUmmies would make the author of the poem you updated seem positively giddy as a schoolgirl by comparison.
DUmmies in misery make me smile.
Looking forward to the rest of your verses.

Have no fear, Mr.Bill, Rosie O'Donnell is on the case.
O’Donnell wants Trump arrested for treason, invalidating his election … and delaying the inauguration as a bonus. Why wake up to reality when you can keep hitting that snooze alarm in hopes that nightmare has a happy ending?

Rosie O'Dumbbell dispatched herself into ugly irrelevancy a decade or two ago. This just one of her many efforts to maintain her irrelevance and ugly. If the world is lucky she'll combine the wrong recreational chemicals with her heart, cholesterol, BP, and psych meds and ... plop-plop, fizz-fizz, oh what a relief it is.

The CIA they vilified when Reagan-Bush-Clinton-W were president is now the only hope of the republic after 8 years of Obama. :???:
Also, I am not sure the DUmmies know exactly what the CIA can do and where.
The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is a civilian foreign intelligence service of the United States federal government, tasked with gathering, processing and analyzing national security information from around the world, primarily through the use of human intelligence (HUMINT). As one of the principal members of the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC), the CIA reports to the Director of National Intelligence and is primarily focused on providing intelligence for the President and Cabinet.
Unlike the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which is a domestic security service, the CIA has no law enforcement function and is mainly focused on overseas intelligence gathering, with only limited domestic intelligence collection.

Even knowing what the CIA's mission is, I don't think we know much of what they do.

I've seen some pretty outlandish stuff about the CIA in the last week or so. Really out there.
