I want to give my body to science
or a medical school preferably. Does anyone here have any experience with this and if so let me know what you think or mostly how to go about doing that.

1. Apparently medical schools have donor programs. Your question was of interest to me so I found this

Not only might it do so good, apparently it saves you most the cost of burial or cremation. Hope this is not something happening soon.

2. Thanks
I agree with your hope, I hope the same thing
But one can never be too sure when that moment comes. I'm a non religious person so there is no hang ups for me on that front and I feel my old dead body might help in some one in their study to be a doctor/nurse or whatever. I feel I have something to give. Old for one thing, 40 plus years of smoking pot. A creative mind plus my mother had dementia in her later life. It was before Alzheimer's became a common talking about condition so its anyone guess if thats what it was.
After her passing I mentioned to my brothers and sisters that I think she might have had Alzheimer's of which non of them had heard much of anything of. Anyways I was exposed to Agent Orange for 15 months of my life. I have no desire to take up a 3 ft by 6 ft section of this earth to house my old dead stinking carcass after I die so my instructions to family is that I be cremated with my ashes put in a hole with a sycamore tree planted in that hole, they choose the location. After all my spirit will need a place to call home and a big ass old sycamore tree would be a good place to rest.

3. Good way to look at things. I like the sycamore tree idea.

4. One thing i heard about lately
that should be planned for: the medical school, whatever, that you choose may not want/need your body for whatever reason at the time of your death, so ensure that you have a back up plan in place to save your family stress.

Hopalong Bob might be the only one who has any actual firsthandfoot experience with your query, DUmmie. The only problem is I don't think anyone knows what he did with his foot once it shuffled off its mortal coil.

Yes, in fact I donated my body to medical science. Here is the recipient:

I, for one, agree with the Proglodytes' decision.
I would like science to determine how creatures with no higher cerebral functions are able to continue "living" for as long as they do.
