Oh my.

Someone obviously understands the power of prayer.

Praying For A Huge Blizzard in DC On Inauguration Day.

Having a paralyzing storm on inauguration day would be a good omen. Seeing that Trump took the oath indoors privately.

I dunno.  It's snowed during inaugurations before.  I haven't thought about what sort of omen that is.  I know John Kennedy was inaugurated during a raging blizzard, and maybe J.C. Superstar in January 1977, and Ronald Reagan in January 1981, but really, I didn't pay attention.

Anybody know?

That wouldn't stop tRumputin from having his inauguration.

He'd only postpone it because he CAN, because as we know, most of the television media whose up in his fat, nasty behind will go along with postponing it if the weather is bad, because they want the ratings from that freak show.

I don't think the ratings will be that high for whenever tRump and putin's inauguration/marriage takes place.

I had a great time watching Sharknado, it was like watching MST3K material.

Sort of.

The one thing about MST3K is that the most important ingredient to the movies they worked was the makers of the movies had to be serious about the film.  The worse the film and more earnest the production the better the snark.

They said the guy who made "Time Chasers" bitterly whined when they worked it (although the result of MSTK using it meant the film broke even).

Considering that TMN is a rabid atheist who regularly mocks God and His followers, his prayers won't do anything.
Plus, once again, the DUmmies openly wishing death on the president- elect. These are just shy of openly calling for his assassination. If we had talked about this in the wake of Obama's inauguration, the DUmmies would have demanded we be arrested for it.

Rifftrax (Company formed by the guys behind MST3K, basically continuing to do what they've been doing) have actually done live riffing events of the first two 'Sharknado' movies, which are funny as hell and available for purchase on their website.

Yep. I picked up on that too.

It seems to me that Trump IS the answer to America's prayers

As others have suggested, perhaps TMN should have maintained more cordial relations with the Almighty: Washington, DC weather for January, 2017. (http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/washington-dc/20006/january-weather/327659) Predictions 2 weeks out are pretty sketchy, but usually on a plus/minus 2 days basis. IOW WashDC temps are likely to be in the high 40s, with some chance that the drizzle predicted for 2 days earlier might slide into some part of Inauguration Day.

It's been amusing to watch TMN's fondest hopes slide from confidently talking about how he was going to snub and torment loser Trump voters to forlorn hopes the weather will slightly disrupt Trump's Inauguration Day.

Yep. In fact, considering how much hatred Bob has spewed against God and Christians, I wouldn't be surprised if God "Answered" Bob's prayer by giving DC beautiful weather on Inauguration Day, and giving Bob a nice skin rash somewhere VERY uncomfortable.

Okay, I went and looked it up.  My memory appears to be dreadfully awful.

This is from January 16, 2013, in time for Obozo's second installation:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/post/washington-dc-presidential-inauguration-weather-history/2013/01/16/5def1200-5ff3-11e2-b05a-605528f6b712_blog.html?utm_term=.cfa7071c8ecf

Where my memory's lousy involves snow.

January 20, 2001 it snowed
January 20, 1969 it rained
January 20, 1961 it snowed (record snowfall)
January 20, 1957 it snowed
January 20, 1945 it snowed
January 20, 1937 it snowed

The five coldest inaugurations have been:

January 20, 1985 07 degrees F
March 4, 1873 16 degrees F
January 20, 1961 20 degrees F
March 4, 1893 25 degrees F
January 20, 2009 28 degrees F

The "average" temperature at January (post-1933) inaugurations have been:

32.5 degrees F when a Democrat's being sworn in
39.3 degrees F when a Republican's being sworn in

Well, what I can't figure out is this: I have a photograph of the then-Republican National Committeewoman from Nebraska (she took me over after my mother died) at the first Reagan inauguration in 1981.  I did not watch the event on television, nor do I recall any other details about it.

The photograph shows her all bundled up as if it's frigidly cold and she's expecting it to snow.

That photograph is from 1981 (handwritten on back), unless someone goofed in dating it.

I recall reading that the 1985 (Reagan) Inauguration Parade being cancelled or abbreviated due to very cold, windy weather.

Well, maybe it was 1985 and not 1981, and she'd handwritten the wrong date on the back.

That happens.

Looking at older pictures and trying to approximate dates is tricky. Sometimes it's who was there and their approximate ages that provides the clues. Sometimes it's a car model or a hairstyle or the shape of someone's glasses. All sorts of stuff.

I put up a picture online of my oldest daughter when she was about 3 that was taken at MY grandma's house. I couldn't figure out when it was taken. My cousins, sister and everyone else picked the picture apart and determined it was Easter, 1980, just by the way the table was set, pictures that were out and so on.

True.

In 2009, a week before thanksgiving, my now ex-girlfriend (thank you God for small miracles) and I went to the grocery store. I picked up a bag of generic sugar pops for breakfast. She said, "did you see the amount of sodium in this?". I said, "I gotta die of something".

The next day I had a TIA and went to the VA hospital in Atlanta with BP of 250/175. The doctor told my daughter and her husband, who were there, I was touch and go. I didn't know that but I was that close to dying.

I have not, and will never again, say the same thing. To me, it was a 2x4 across the head. "Ok, you wanna die of something, here's a warning".

I lost 44 lbs, quit salt, stopped the beer (I switched to a glass of wine a day) and am still here 7, going on 8 years later.

I truly value every day I have. It could have ended long ago.

You know, the left has been jumping about the many million-victim marches planned for that day. I don't know whether to root for snow, which the DUmmie wants, to shut them down, or for it to be clear and damnable cold -- way in the negatives -- to make those protesters as miserable as possible.

But the DUmmie IS rooting against the protests and visibility they live for.

:yahoo: :yahoo:
I love it! I love winning!

And in every conceivable way, the DUmmies are losing! And it's their choice to lose! They don't have to be outside shivering in the cold and cursing the warmth and the light, they choose to! DUmmies are obdurate and they curse themselves.

I think it would be better for everyone if they simply chose to be winners but it's impossible to force someone who wants to be a loser to choose winning. And I wouldn't force them given the chance. They can be as miserable as they like so long as they stay on the sidelines and don't hamper good and decent folk as we pursue our happiness.

Actually, I kinda hoped that the city named after not just one, but TWO of the greatest cis-oppressors in US history (Washington AND Columbus) would get one of those -89 windchill factor storms. They can always move the inauguration indoors, but all the snowflakes protesting the events all over the city would be left out in the cold, so to speak.

Be careful of what they wish for.
