Oh my.

Pamela seems a little overwrought.

Trump is nuts

If half the crap he wants to do is done, I will be dead.

I don't have ACA, have always had insurance through work but I do have a pre-existing condition.

I am officially on short term disability through at least Feb 1 possibly longer. My income is way less and if/when I do go back to work it will be very rough and the principal will make it her business to be rough on me.

Trump is nuts and out to destroy anyone he feels slighted him.

These lists he is making, his supporting Russia and wiki leaks and all of this stuff. I am just terrified scared out of my mind

Well, if Pamela wants to be paranoid, I guess it's her right to be paranoid.

I was going to copy-and-paste some primitive comments, but they're all so detached from reasonable reality it's difficult to decide which ones.  They're all worth reading at the link.

I wonder if fear irritates her bowel like most other things?

Does Pamela's principal need to know that Pamela's accusing her of doing something she hasn't done yet?

Does Pamela's principal need to know that Pamela's accusing her of doing something she hasn't done yet?

Sounds to me like Pamela burned some bridges and is planning on bilking as much disability as she can before she quite/gets fired upon return.

What bothers me is that she's accused her principal of doing something before the principal's even done it.

That's easily taken care of.

Pam should have heeded the lesson of the Jersey Walrus.

The primitives are treading into perilous territory here.

Just as they're accusing Donald Trump of things he hasn't yet done, they're taking it to a personal level too, accusing ordinary people of doing things they haven't done yet, and might not even do.

I dunno, guys.  We might take this one seriously.  Pam knows crap.

Hey Pam, all is lost.  16 years of Rethuglican rule.

Think about it, Pam.  Every day, you will wake up with either President Trump or President Pence as your Commander in Chief.  Republican control of the Senate, House, state house and, of course, the Supreme Court.

Every day, Pam.  Every day.

Terror every morning for the rest. Of. Your. Life.  And your children's lives.

Only one way out Pam:

It is the only way to get peace, Pam.

The only way.

DU-folk are so over-wrought with the fear of their fantasies that they have become self-mocking. As FZ suggests, those who feed on their fears will be eaten up by those fears.

That comment caught my attention, too. While a supervisor would have a natural need to be sure that an employee with a disability is able to do their job, without hurting themselves, dtj's comment suggests the principal is malevolent or personally dislikes (or wants to get rid of) her. Whichever dtj's fear, it's probably either imaginary or a consequence of of some past transgression on dtj's part.

The list of DU folk "needing" annual reminders of their paranoid fantasies is growing.

And it's compounded exponentially, because they feed off each others' fears.  Especially as they try to out-nightmare each other.  It's such a destructive environment, but they just can't help themselves.

There has been lots of talk on the internet about Haribo sugarfree gummy bears and how they make you make shit like a madman. According to these detailed Amazon reviews, just a handful of the bears can cause an immediate evacuation of the gastrointestinal tract. There are 53 pages of reviews on Amazon, each one topping the last with a story of gummy-fueled diarrhea nightmares. "Gastric exorcism at 30,000 feet," a reviewer named I Like Cheese wrote. "Don't use the bathroom on a Delta flight. That stench is from me, seven years ago."

You might think so, but real principals are people with lots of flaws, not archetypes of rationality.  I know from family who actually work in education that a lot of principals are just dicks (Or c@nts) toward the teachers, petty tyrants who manage by the clique system, with pets, informers, and outcasts targeted for elimination for little or no reason, because cliques need outsiders to work, and for being a loyal subject to have value.  There's something about the field of education that seems to draw this sort of personality and enable its professional success.

Man, this is so dead on.
We had this issue at a private school and the pecking order became apparent rather quickly. You had the real teachers who cared (most of them), then you had the principle and her minions... who would frame things however she needed for them to be.
She was asked to leave eventually, but not until after we pulled our kids for a different school. We were just one family out of the revolt, they lost a lot of enrollment.
I imagine in a public school, it's not quite so easy to fix a management issue.

You've got that right.  The only check on them is the Superintendent, who more often than not is a Principal who was exceptionally good at cliquing and bullshitting.  Principal don't get to be Principals by being outside the Superintendent's insider crew.

Right; that may very well be so, as it usually is.

But my irritation's at Pamela accusing her of being "against" her and wanting to get rid of her, before the principal's even done a thing to Pamela.

Pamela needs to learn to wait until somebody does something, before accusing them of doing it.

And the Democrats, liberals, and primitives similarly need to learn this re: Donald Trump.

Let the poor guy take office, let the poor guy do some things.....and then get pissed off at him for doing those things.

Karin, very interesting and thank you for sharing this. Well, I have long suspected and have had it confirmed that prolonged use of opioids such as Oxycodone will cause a lower GI slowdown. This isn't supposed to be funny, it's a serious matter. From my own personal experience, I suffered (in silence I might add) a tib/fib fracture and thus had surgery (with plates and screws) so I had a good reason to take such medications. But I quickly discovered that those same meds cause the lower unit to stage a wildcat class 5 strike!

I asked a medical doctor about this, do opioids case the bowel to go on an extended holiday and he confirmed that in fact this is true. So I'm really happy to hear that the solution to the problem at hand is a inexpensive and easy to obtain gummy. The fact that they are sugar free is a bonus! A "good cause" for those who pursue good causes for a living would be free gummy bears for all who take a lot of percocet. I'm talking about having a no-cost vending machine in every men's room right next to the free tampon machine at places like NYU and Columbia University.

Yes, life is good and even gooder since November 8th.

So, my last good prank at work was a bottle of "liquid ass". Had a load of fun with it, by the way.
I was sitting here considering this gummy bear product as my next dastardly prank. Getting a jar and sitting them by the microwave spot at work with a "help yourself" sign.

By the way, if you are feeling adventurous:   https://smile.amazon.com/Liquid-Ass-Mister/dp/B000OCEWGW/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1483840412&sr=1-1&keywords=liquid+ass (https://smile.amazon.com/Liquid-Ass-Mister/dp/B000OCEWGW/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1483840412&sr=1-1&keywords=liquid+ass)

I'll warn you though, this stuff is no joke. Don't even touch the bottle without some gloves on. It takes a couple of hours to dissipate.

What if you can never return to work?

That is the boat that 53,000,000+ Americans are in.

This is all happening because a bunch of people across the country felt slighted, and didn't like the fact that the "establishment" wasn't paying any attention to them...just like a three year old who throws a tantrum!

So, they voted for Trump because he attacked both parties and promised to bring change...change to D.C., something that everyone running for office, from the House of Representatives to the White House, has promised!

In other words, people who were dumber then a bag of hammers, voted so that their fellow Americans could suffer with them!

There is much to fear, people of color and women, have become the targets of the Rust Belt, and the Bible Belt...

Good luck to us all, we're going to need it!
