Control of your bowels (again)? Psychologically? You're going to have to be more specific, Pam:

last night the CBS evening news was comparing twitler's use of twits to FDR
and the fireside chats and even JFK and TV
I just about lost it
One DUmmie gets it:

2. Don't lose your focus, it's a valid comparison...
in the sense the most of the big political uprisings and changes over the last 150 years or so have occurred shortly after the release of new technology in the means of producing and disseminating information.
Our own Revolution was immensely helped by the proliferation of printing presses, and the number of newpapers and political tracts being produced and read.
In the 1800's it was railroads and the telegraph that Lincoln used to win the Civil War.
For Hitler, it was command of the radio waves and the emerging use of audio tape that helped him release speeches and talks in numerous towns simultaneously. Luckily for us, FDR commanded the same techology and used it to actually help our nation stave off fascism for a few years.
TV brought us the Kennedy/Nixon debates, Watergate, and eventually resulted in Reagan's election.
Trump is our first true internet/twitter/social media president. He's a disgusting putz, but he knows how to take advantage of the media available to him. Much like the war college studies the maneuvers of the Germans in WWII, where they had enormous military success before the allies learned how to win, we need to study the strategy, tactics, and technology of our opponents to counter their actions.
And another one, well, not so much:

3. Like hell it is..
I can assure you that both FDR's fireside chats and JFK's television appearances were longer and more substantive than one of Trump's tweets.

5. WWJFKT... What Would JFK Tweet. Let's acknowledge that Tweets are a new form of communication
available to use in warfare and politics and also that Trump is using it to great effect for his own benefit.

8. He wouldn't -- at least not in lieu of a press conference..
Please don't help 'normalize Trump.
You're right. JFK was far too busy with the likes of Fiddle and Faddle anyways.

10. I doubt if either one ever spoke to America while sitting on the crapper.
This is the difference between how Trump and the others regard their fellow Americans.
Uhh, ok.

So I guess that new butt plug apparatus is working out for ya, Pam?
What really has the libs, and the dummies, upset is that the MSM no longer has exclusive control. That is it in a nutshell. Trump is using twitter to get his message out and it is resonating. Libs and dummies hate that.

Uh huh.
That is it.

Yep, that's it and they hate it. The message now doesn't have to be filtered through the NYT, and they can't stand it. I remember one DUmmie just seething: "HE WILL NOT STOP TWEETING." :lmao: That was on top of a list of imagined crimes. Like, "he will not stop killing millions of people. He will NOT STOP TWEETING!" :rotf:

Buckle up. Their hysterics have just gotten started.

Any thinking and historically knowledgeable person has already made the mental comparison between FDRs fireside chats and Trumps use of twitter. It's the concept of taking the message directly to the people not the actual message or mode of communication. Trump is genius for copying the actual concept- how did FDR and for that matter Ronald's communication skills, going directly to the people and this is at the heart of the panic among the leftists. Best. Election. Ever.

They're still in the proverbial Egyptian River on that point, imagining ways they can stuff that genie back into its bottle. Hence their calls to shut down Fox, "Internet Neutrality", suppress "fake news" (as determined by the purveyors of truly fake "news").

It's actually a tad more than that. They hate that Trump is bypassing, or just outright trolling, the MSM, and the country is listening to him, but they also were convinced that Obama would be the "internet President," and it just hasn't worked out. Nobody gives a damn about his online video addresses that he put out there to replace the weekly radio address. Obama routinely tweets flattering pictures of himself on important dates (seriously, go look at that feed and see how many times he inserts himself into some picture depicting an event), but otherwise gets no messaging out via internet at all. His biggest "success" at being the "internet President" was doing an "interview" with some loon sitting in a bathtub full of fruit loops (how incredibly fitting!). Trump, OTOH, grabbed the internet by the ***** and showed 'em all how it's done.
Yet another Obama failure, and they can't stand it. They won't ever admit it, but it's plainly obvious that when they are bitching about Trump tweeting, it's because he is successful at it and Obama failed miserably.
