The truth is the Deplorables hate us. We can not run from it !
Why Rural America Voted for Trump
Knoxville, Iowa — One recent morning, I sat near two young men at a coffee shop here whom I’ve known since they were little boys. Now about 18, they pushed away from the table, and one said: “Let’s go to work. Let the liberals sleep in.” The other nodded.
They’re hard workers. As a kid, one washed dishes, took orders and swept the floor at a restaurant. Every summer, the other picked sweet corn by hand at dawn for a farm stand and for grocery stores, and then went to work all day on his parents’ farm. Now one is a welder, and the other is in his first year at a state university on an academic scholarship. They are conservative, believe in hard work, family, the military and cops, and they know that abortion and socialism are evil, that Jesus Christ is our savior, and that Donald J. Trump will be good for America.
They are part of a growing movement in rural America that immerses many young people in a culture — not just conservative news outlets but also home and church environments — that emphasizes contemporary conservative values. It views liberals as loathsome, misinformed and weak, even dangerous.
...
While many blame poor decisions by Mrs. Clinton for her loss, in an environment like this, the Democratic candidate probably didn’t matter. And the Democratic Party may not for generations to come. The Republican brand is strong in rural America — perhaps even strong enough to withstand a disastrous Trump presidency.
Rural conservatives feel that their world is under siege, and that Democrats are an enemy to be feared and loathed. Given the philosophical premises Mr. Watts presented as the difference between Democrats and Republicans, reconciliation seems a long way off.

You had your chance, Proglodytes, but you insisted on pushing too far.
You had your legal abortion but you insisted we pay for it.
You had your gay marriage but you demanded we bake your cakes.
You had your indiscriminate sex but you compelled us to buy your birth control.
You had your clean water laws but you made standing water on a homestead grounds for seizing land and destroying family homes.
You weren't content with being free to do what you wanted, you demanded that we worship what you worship and when we declined you demanded your religion of self-indulgence be turned into law and all unbelievers brought to heel.
Now the backlash cometh.
We will abolish your religious laws.
If we feel magnanimous we will not abolish your religion.
Perhaps you should work towards getting on our good side.

4. "Rural conservatives feel that their world is under siege, and that Democrats are an enemy..."
"Rural conservatives feel that their world is under siege, and that Democrats are an enemy to be feared and loathed", not Putin or the Russians , for instance.
Your ability to hide behind that lie fades with each passing day.

3. Yes, I'm sure many young Germans loved the Fatherland in the 30's as much as tbe love "Merica"
It seems to me you will never change their minds on the social issues, but we might be able to show them in time how they are being ****ed economically.
We don't take economics lessons from the cheerleaders of Cuba and Venezuela.
And thanks for admitting you don't love America, you only love power.

Why are those you accuse of being easily led not being led by you?

32. well
I'm neither misinformed, loathsome or weak, yes I can be as dangerous times 2 as these republican racists are in celebrating their fascism with the threats of their fuhrer and their actions toward usually AA protestors at their Nuremberg rallies. No reconciliation, so what? This is the start of the 2nd Civil War in ameriKKKa, and I'll be damned if I let a country I fought for diminish my humanity based on something as superficial as skin color, religion or culture. **** a conservative trumpfuhrer voter. I damn them to hell...... They have fired the first shot at Fort Sumpter 2.....

Except nobody wants to attack this asshole over being black. It's all his own private delusion.
If I saw him being attacked on the streets by Klanners I would run to his aid.
Of course as soon as I learned he was a Proglodyte I would want to beat his ass myself but that's because he's a parasitic idiot, not because he's black.

Well said.

It's not a "growing movement", it's the default! As Snugs has already pointed out, you Libtards have overreached. Consider recent events a correction, which is only just beginning.

11. I'm sure that deplorables spend a lot of time trying to understand Liberals
We read, collect and archive your posts.
You post from within a safe space protected by juries and allow no dissent, no conservative news sources, etc., etc., etc.
Every day I see a new article urging Liberals to "understand" or "reach out to" deplorables. Where are the blessed peacemakers on their side of the spectrum, given their famous (and endlessly, ostentatiously professed) love of Jesus Christ?
Where is your professed tolerance?
Yes, the peacemakers ought to be blessed but you don't want peace. You demand subservience as I noted in my OP.

15. Yep!
I have posted this MANY times here.
Does anyone think even ONE as shat conservative has spent even a single moment of his or her life trying to understand or appeal to us?
These people ****ing LOATHE us, they literally want to see us die.
Yes. Reading what you believe as written by your own hand makes me hold you in contempt.
and if you die -- well -- that's just icing on the non-gay wedding cake.

52. And that rhetoric is repeated ad nauseum.
The hate and lies being spread about us has created a false narrative. Every time I see some jackass trying to hawk a "liberal tears" coffee mug on Twitter and Facebook it makes me just cringe. They just don't get how hateful they are. And the GOP thinks we're out of touch. They want us to understand them, but they don't want to understand us. It's sickening. It works both ways. No I don't want to understand your bigotry and white supremacism. **** that shit. I think they're the ones who are out of touch. The people they elect have done nothing but loot and pillage and pass the blame onto us. It's time this ends.
Your own words about you is not hate and lies spread about you to create a false narrative. They're your own words.
Yet, you create lies about our being bigots and racists because you can't emotionally process losing to people you consider beneath you.

I have a question.
Does no one ever consult the population statistics?
Exactly how many of us are there, in rural and small-town America?
We're like maybe.....ten percent.....of the whole population?
I think a lot of people, especially primitives still think it's, like, 1920 or something.
I thank God Trump was elected president, but I suspect votes from other parts of the demographics, and not the rural and small-town votes, put him in the winner's column. It's not the sort of thing we could've done all by ourselves.

Yea, it is kind of silly listening to the "single white males" and "college educated women" statistics. It's kind of like saying there are unimportant parts in a turbofan engine.
All the demographics were required for this outcome. And I'm personally of the opinion that a LOT of democrats voted for Trump as well... and I mean a LOT of them. It couldn't have happened otherwise. People really do despise clintoon. My guess it is they were actual democrats, not this brand of socialist like we see at the DUmp and mannys pit of vipers.

Good point. No identifiable demographic group can claim, "WE put trump in office!" And in another sense, numerous such groups can say that. The rejection of The SHREW-CHILL in the various states was broad-based, encompassing multiple demographic groups (including the 12% of blacks who voted for Trump, and God knows how many other blacks who voted for neither!).
-
I have a question.
I have to clarify something.
It doesn't bother me that we rural and small-town folks are blamed for the election of Donald Trump, even though we obviously don't have the numbers to do it without some other group providing 90% of the votes.
In fact, I'm perfectly fine with the Democrats, liberals, and primitives blaming us; I hope they keep on doing it the next four years.
By blaming us, it means they're blaming the wrong source of their problem and so they'll never get around to dealing with the real source of their problem.
And so they'll always have this problem, Trump and Trump-like candidates beating theirs.
Blame away, primitives. I'm all for it.

They're really not going to like this (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/trump_administration/january_2017/57_of_democrats_want_trump_to_succeed).
57% of Democrats Want Trump to Succeed
Thursday, January 05, 2017
Even most Democrats want Donald Trump to succeed as president, but voters are far less confident that things will play out that way.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 39% of Likely U.S. Voters think Trump’s presidency is more likely to be a success. Thirty percent (30%) say it’s more likely to be a failure instead, while 26% believe the Trump presidency will fall somewhere in between the two. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Sixty-seven percent (67%) of Republicans think Trump is likely to succeed, a view shared by only 17% of Democrats and 35% of voters not affiliated with either major party. Just over half (52%) of Democrats believe Trump is more likely to fail, but only seven percent (7%) of GOP voters and 28% of unaffiliateds agree.
But 57% of Democrats want Trump’s presidency to be a success. Of course, that compares to 91% of Republicans and 73% of unaffiliated voters. Twenty-six percent (26%) of voters in Hillary Clinton’s party want Trump to fail, while another 17% are undecided.
Among all voters, 73% want Trump’s presidency to be a success; 14% want it to fail, and 12% are not sure.

It's really just sloppy language, when those idiots say 'Rural' they mean anywhere that isn't academe or an urban megaplex. Towns and cities of quite substantial size are still considered 'Rural' by the turdballs at DU and, really, the Democrats as a whole and the lazy-ass journalists who promote the meme.

It is a subtle attempt to equate non city liberals as being some semi literate idiots.
You vote for a Republican then you can`t possibly be enlightened or intelligent is the underlying stereotype they are trying to install as the default reaction.

We well know how we are being ****ed economically, dummie. It is by mainly by your party. Yes the GOP has been complicit in the screwing and that is why we shunned the elite establishment candidates and went with someone new. See we intended to send a message to the elites in both parties and guess what? We did. We started with the GOP, you laughed at us and then we finished with the dems. Our message got out loud and clear and you do not like it. Neither do the political elites in both parties. Nor the MSM.
Now we are laughing.

directly from the pulpit of their churches.
Oh, I hate this place more every day. Not having had my family here for more than three generations makes me and my kids (who were born here) unwelcome unless they need us to do something for them.
After this election, I don't want anything to do with the horrible people they have demonstrated themselves to be.
I should have known when the Kindergarten teacher told the kids (when coloring a picture of police and fire fighters) that they need to color carefully, she didn't want to see any black or brown faces! Happened when my oldest son was in K, he's a sophomore now.
Heh.

Was she in the Kindergarten class when the teacher said this? Terrible bouncy. It does, at least, have cops in some form. But they're not jumping out from behind the bushes!
