4. I really wish they wouldn't.
trump is unworthy of their presence.

8. stop with the bashing. First thing is Bill is a former President
secondly, I'm sure that it hurts really bad for her to go and see that jerk sworn in. It takes a lot of backbone to stand up to that.
It's not a pro-Trump move. It has nothing to do with him.
It has everything to do with Hillary's class and dignity.

18. I absolutely could NOT do it, if I were in Hillary's shoes
No bashing from me, I admire her fortitude and acting abilities. Just imagine, the cameras will be on her every moment, and she knows it.
A tough, tough moment for both the Obamas and Clintons. Like I said, I could not do it. No way, no how. (that's why I'm just a keyboard warrior, and they are in the spotlight, LOL)

14. I don't think the Clintons should attend....
The American democratic process is broken due to a outdated Electoral College system. It deserves no respect.

15. Isn't this legitimizing a stolen election? Comey, the Russians, voter suppression, popular vote?

22. "...out of a sense of duty and respect for the American democratic process..."
Oh, you mean that democratic process where Russian selects the President of the US, or the one where the loser is declared the winner?

29. Unfortunate.
A little hard for the Democrats to keep pressing the Trump-Russia-election interference which is treason—when the person who was the target of that possible interference attends the ball and appears, for media purposes to be normalizing this situation, as if it is indeed now gonna be business as usual.
I do wish Democrats weren't so afraid of FOX attacks and looked more fearless in the face of RW backlash. We need to defend SS, Medicare, Obamacare and there's something about this that makes it all look——like the codes of normality are more important than the dangers we in fact face.
Didn't he just send out a New Year's tweet that called the majority of Americans and HRC "his enemies" who "lost"? And we have to be polite about this situation?

47. I hope everyone cheers her and boos Dump
As much as I wish they would snub Dumb, I get why they're going. My heart goes out to them, especially to Hillary. That appearance is going to be very hard for her.

There's several threads about this over there. Here's the truth DUmbasses: They wish to be among the movers and shakers, the glitterati, the people of power. This doesn't include you, and they don't give a shit what you think, no matter your post count at the DUmp, or what you're bleating about. This is not about "dignity of democracy," this is about contacts and cash flow.

^^^^ You got that right!
The peons really think that they are sooooo smart and part of the process.
But still I'm going to take extreme satisfaction in watching Hellary standing there watching Trump take the oath of office. :-)

Hillary should go so she, as the truly duly elected President can order Trump arrested for treason. [/du] :fuelfire:

As on 09/11/2016, it's another opportunity for Hillary to face plant in front of the cameras. I'll take it. The chance of that happening alone is worth having her show up.

"...the cameras will be on her every moment, and she knows it."
Perhaps she still has one or two odd non-synchronized movements left to offer up to an aghast public...

I'm guessing it has little to do with class and dignity and a lot to do with rum and coke

Good time for one of her numerous coughing fits in the background as President Trump is sworn in. I also hope she wears Orange.

I'm thinking she'll wear purple, along with Bill's tie. It's a subtle message.

That's going to chap some liberal asses!
-
The interesting bit to me, as I've heard it reported, is Hill & Bill only decided to attend when Dubya RSVPed.
If true, I cannot wait for it be more fully spread so that it hits the DUmp. That will be really fun.

still not caring that you're still not watching :loser:

I think that it will be a good test of Hillary's stamina. If she can sit through the inauguration without collapsing in a quivering, slobbering heap, it will go a long way in proving that she is ready to take another run at it in 2020.
-
Maybe she thinks she can sneak her hand on that bible just before Trump does................

Lightning in DC in January, and a pile of ashes is all Bill will have left.

I bet it would be hard for Bill to not smile if something like that happened.

Heads are going to explode on January 20, 2017. :lmao:

As Bill is sneaking his hand somewhere even more nefarious. Someone needs to warn Melania!

While it might be very entertaining to watch, the sight of the Big Dog high-fiving everyone in sight on national TV might detract somewhat from the dignity of the proceedings.
