Title: the ladybug primitive bounces

Oh my.

Of course it's made up, the ladybug primitive telling us what she wishes would've happened, rather than what actually happened.

So I'm in line at the grocery store, and the lady in front of me used Food stamps and the guy in

back of me started hemming and hawing. He said, "My god, do you believe this?" like trying to get me and the others in line to participate in his disgust. As loudly, and roundly as I could, and my theatre background lets me PROJECT people:

"**** YOU YOU ****ING ASSHOLE"

He was shocked. I mean shocked. "I'D RATHER SEE MY HARD EARNED TAX DOLLARS GO TO FEED HER OR ANY OTHER FAMILY INSTEAD OF LAUNCHING A 20 MILLION DOLLAR MISSILE AT A CAMEL'S ASS. SHE'S IN A VETERAN'S FAMILY, DID YOU EVER THINK OF THAT? YOU HAVE THE ****ING NERVE TO SPIT ON OUR TROOPS BY AIRING YOUR SHIT NOW?"

"You think it's me and *MY* mouth?" he said,

'TRUST ME. EVERYONE HERE IS MORE OFFENDED WITH YOUR LITTLE DISPLAY THAN MY BIG ONE. YOU ARE A ****ING TRAITOR AND ASSHOLE AND YOUR ACTIONS TOWARD THIS WOMAN IS WAY WORSE THAN MY PROFANITY ANYDAY"

The cashier laughed. I got three thumbs up and a high five.

Really.

Today.

After I cashed out, the hoopla went down, the lady approached me in the parking lot and told me thank you. Then, with pride, her eyes glistened, she said, "My father served in the Navy and my husband was a Marine before he died. How did you know?"

"I am the daughter of a Veteran too, we just have to stick together now. My Daddy didn't fight on foreign soil to see ours starve here. That man is the worst type of man"

Then she hugged me.

And I cried.

The usual standard customary predicatable primitive reactions, not worth copying to bring here.

14. As someone who was ridiculed using food stamps once - thank you

I was in a wreck in 1985 that left me in a wheelchair for 10 months. I couldn't work obviously and had to get some help since I had an 8 year old son and was a single mom. The cashier who knew me forever since I shopped in that store all the time says 'I can't believe you're using these?'

Really? You can't believe someone who is confined to a wheelchair with 2 broken legs needs some assistance? I wanted to slap the hell out of her.

Since then I went back to college, got a BS in Computer Science and more than paid back in taxes what I used at the time. And even if I didn't it shouldn't matter - I needed help just like all others do that use them.

I think it's amazing that people like that man think those are easy to get in the first place - they're not. You have to be very needy to even qualify.

Well, she did start her story with, "So ...".

I'm 60-something, so I've seen a lot of people use food stamps and EBT cards: NEVER had the impulse to be nasty; NEVER saw anyone be nasty. Not in Silicon Valley, not in the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix. Scottsdale, and Tempe), not in the California Central Valley farming town in which I grew up. So I reflexive doubt her story, based on decades of experience.

But there's a better reason to dismiss her story as a :bouncy: . She said,

Quote
... the lady in front of me used Food stamps ...
...
... INSTEAD OF LAUNCHING A 20 MILLION DOLLAR MISSILE AT A CAMEL'S ASS.

From W'pedia's article on EBT Cards: (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_benefit_transfer)

Quote
State agencies work with contractors to procure their own EBT systems for delivery of SNAP and other state-administered benefit programs. In the United States, all SNAP benefits are now being issued via EBT.
...
For most of its history, the Food Stamp Program used paper denominated stamps or coupons worth US$1 (brown), $5 (blue), and $10 (green). In the late 1990s, the food-stamp program was revamped, and stamps were phased out in favor of a specialized debit-card system known as electronic benefit transfer (EBT) provided by private contractors. Many states merged the use of the EBT card for public-assistance welfare programs as well. The 2008 farm bill renamed the Food Stamp Program as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (as of October 2008), and replaced all references to "stamp" or "coupon" in federal law to "card" or "EBT."
.

EBT cards are issued in the format and appearance of a bank debit card. IOW, not easily distinguishable from an ordinary bank debit card or charge card. Note that Buggee places herself between the lady supposedly using food stamps and the jerk. In the stores I use, the jerk would be so far back and his view so blocked by people, equipment, and groceries that he would not be able to see how the woman paid for her purchase, let alone distinguish an EBT card from an ordinary bank card.

So I don't think this incident happened at all. But if it did, it happened before 2000.

Did any DU-folk call her out on her anachronism?

ETA: Oops! I missed "superpatriotman"'s post. It took 22 responses before any DU-member sort of called her on her lie. Pretty pathetic.

If I went on a vulgar public tirade like that I'd be embarrassed, certainly not bragging about it on The Internet. I hope there weren't any children around when this DIDN'T happen.

As far as bouncies go:

One bong for starting it with "So...."

A second bong for claiming that everyone on the immediate vicinity lauded the DUmmy for the public tirade with thumbs ups and a high five.

A third bong for someone supposedly chasing the DUmmy into the parking lot to say thanks.

... A 20 MILLION DOLLAR MISSILE ...

You have to go about 2/3 of the way down this webpage (https://www.quora.com/How-much-does-one-airstrike-cost) to find these numbers:

Quote
Drones: MQ-1 Predator Unit cost:4.03 million
                                             Ordnance:
2 × AGM-114 Hellfire (MQ-1B) $110,00 each

MQ-1C Gray Eagle Unit cost: 21.5 million
                                     Ordinance:
Missiles: 4 × AGM-114 Hellfire or 8 × AIM-92 Stinger $110,000 each

MQ-9 Reaper Unit cost: 16.9 million
                            Ordinance:   4 AGM-114 Hellfire $110,00 each

Had Buggee merely been off by a factor of 2 or 3, it wouldn't be worth commenting. But she was off by a factor of nearly 200! A fully loaded Predator or Reaper would not cost $20M! I think she pulled that $20M number out of some "CAMEL'S ASS"!

Libs/Progs whinge about $600 hammers and toilet seats - a cost blown out of proportion by government regs and contract requirements - but $70M of outright fraud is unimportant, and wanting to end the fraud is racist?

Well we had tears and hugs, along with high fives.  So, not a bad showing.  It's hilarious that it was called as false because of the EBT cards that people use now.   :lmao:

She didn't go to a grocery store.  She went for a quick trip to the liquor store and then right back to ranting at the DUmp.

She backtracked and said it was a card.  (Although you really can't tell between them and a bank card, unless you're inappropriately close).  Someone asked her how she knew she was from a veteran's family, and she said "lucky guess."  Then there's this good point:

98. I know your intentions were good.

And it seems this person was grateful, but you might easily have embarrassed her.

Your shouting, cursing, and causing a scene alerted everyone in the store to the fact she was using a Snap card (didn't know anyone called them food stamps anymore).

The loud, profane-riddled yelling in a public place was embarrassing to read, but 2 bongs for the effort.

The DUmmie comments are especially embarrassing to read as well.  Yeesh.

This thread is enormous, like 200 replies.  They're all kissing her ass, and she's basking in the glow.  Dumbasses, this did not happen.  They make EBT cards as anonymous as possible, by your design.  To take away the stigma.  The only obvious item is a WIC certificate for milk, orange juice, and baby formula, which is very obvious.  It's major paperwork.

I would never make such an embarrassing scene like this asshole Insane Incest.  We all go through our troubles in life, and if that is what helps, then so be it.  Send them peacefully on with a little prayer.

This election was more than stolen like the two W elections were stolen. This one was compromised by our enemy who is now best friends with "certain" Americans because he is a white man.
What he is in reality is a murderous dictator and I believe Donald Trump wants to be one also.
More people did not vote for Donald Trump in those 3 rust belt states, no chance. Bullshit. All this shit about what did we learn, we learned that we won the election and once again the republicans stole an election. Not like there isnt precedence for this.

That's what astounds me. It. Did. Not. Happen.

In her origin telling, she displayed her ignorance of the SNAP system by referencing "Food Stamps", which have not been used since the late Clinton Administration. A DU-member gently pointed out her anachronistic error, and her fall-back was that she meant an EBT card. AND DU-folk so wanted to believe her that they didn't recognize the reasons this fall-back doesn't work:

* EBT cards have been around so long, have been so notorious for abuse/fraud (e.g. being able to withdraw cash from ATMs located in Indian Casinos), and are so physically different that it just isn't credible that anyone would slip up and call an EBT card "Food Stamps";

* More to the point, EBT cards, by design, are virtually indistinguishable from ordinary bank debit cards; if they are distinguishable at all. Buggee's :bouncy: places herself between the woman using an EBT card and Buggee's :bouncy: -jerk. In that configuration and in any grocery check-out line I've seen, Buggee would be unable to distinguish an EBT card from an ordinary debit card. And Buggee's :bouncy: -jerk would be unable to see whether the woman paying the clerk used cash or plastic.

DU-folks' adulation is :thatsright: :thatsright: :thatsright: :thatsright: :thatsright: -rated pathetic.

This furthers to cement my belief that LDB is a mole, playing the DUmmies hard by becoming a parody of what a DUmmy is. Even though this is a mediocre bouncy when tabulated on the scorecard - it does hit upon many of the most often used & reported earmarks.. Starting with 'So' - in a checkout line, tears, thanks, etc etc..

I think including a cop or some other sort of authority figure would've taken it too far, even for the DUmmies.

SO, I think it did what it set out to do, even though it didn't complete the checklist. It got the lemmings in line, and made it clear to us that this is a mole writing a bouncy. Well done..

I dunno, Miskie.  I've been watching this one for a while now, and I don't think it's a mole.   Like most DUmmies that end up isolated from the rest of their families and with very few friends, they only manage to come into contact with other humans in settings like the grocery store, for the most part.

The insane insect fits the MO for a DUmmie recluse: single,  lives in a broken down little cape cod somewhere down south in which her father  currently resides in as well.  I read this as too stupid to have ever left the nest, and now circles back in the sunset years of her dad's life to mooch the home away.

Also, she is as broke as a, well, primitive.
