Title: I'm usually a very optimistic person...Kentuck

I'm usually a very optimistic person...

But, even before the election, there was a sense of foreboding dread.

We, like animals, have certain instincts.

There was something unknown on the horizon and it could not be trusted.

It only got worse after the election. It was not fear of the unknown - it was fear of the known.

And I keep asking myself, "Is it only me?"

Where will I find the lost optimism?

No you're not optimistic. You are a pissed off nut bag that blames everybody else for your problems.

This is the sort of self-imposed terror that needs instilled in the primitives, and the more, the heavier, the better:

3. You're not the only one.

As a senior citizen, I fully expect to get stabbed in the back, when the GOP destroys medicare and social security. I'm having suicidal thoughts about eating my pistol.

They're pretty infantile in their stupid fears; maybe it would be better if they just laid down and died.

we are animals, you dumbass, but we can't smell the future

yes, it was the prospect of an anti-social criminal getting elected and it scared real Americans
It only got worse after the election. It was not fear of the unknown - it was fear of the known.
tell us, what has Trump done to you so far?
And I keep asking myself, "Is it only me?"
mostly... well, you and your band of incoherent DUmp-monkeys.
Where will I find the lost optimism?
When you finally realize that it is YOU, who is the tyrant. Why should you FEAR any government? Is it because you made it too powerful and promote it's ever-increasing authority over the population? Why isn't it smaller? Is it because you are starved for power and control over those with whom you disagree?

Trump won't take office for another 3+ weeks. Given that these are the same people who condemned Trump for not surrendering to The SHREW-CHILL because Trump had zero chance of winning, why should their expectations of what Trump will do be afforded credibility?

Sounds like the DUmmie vlyons is well on his way. He just needs a little nudge, and the planet will need to support one less dirtbag. Maybe a nice scoop of ice cream on the muzzle of his pistol to sweeten the deal?

Please do it.  Then in your final moments as you draw your last breath, you will know that Trump has NO PLANS to do much of anything with SS or Medicare.  He has mentioned opening up an option for people to invest some of their own SS $$.

Frankly, anyone who completely depends on SS was such a bad planner they deserve to die early.

Just imagine how well we would all retire if that 15% had been put in our personal accounts for all these years...

The GOP needs to get their act together, I've been hearing they plan on destroying SS and medicare for 40 years, yet it never happens.........

4. At this point, I am not necessarily pessimistic, more like "whatever."

I live in Kentucky, too (I'm assuming you do because of your user name) and I'm just ****ing tired. My young nephew was telling everybody "Have a Merry Christmas and a Deplorable New Year." He got a Trump tree ornament. He just got baptized a few months ago. How the hell people can put all this together and make it okay in their heads is beyond me. Fundamentalist Christians in my family voting for Trump because they read a book from the local library about Hillary and she said bad words to her secret service detail or something. And of course abortion. It all comes down to abortion. And they've all been to that stupid ark in Northern Kentucky.

I'm normally very pessimistic and cynical. In the last few days before the election, I began to have a glimmer of hope.

Voila! It happened, Shrillary was sent packing back to New York to lick her wounds and whatever else Huma may ask of her.

Optimism is an alien concept for the DUmmies. Even with Obummer in office, it was clear that they remained the most miserable people in the free world, with most of their "Agonies" being what others would call First- World- Problems.
