This Donald thing is starting to blow up.

He is getting hit on so many fronts it is unbelievable .
The inauguration is turning into a giant fiasco thanks to all our friends in the entertainment industry.
So he tweets about starting an arms race and immediately gets called on it by about a million people.
His kids are getting hit right and left for trying to sell the presidency.
Putin comes out and says he is wonderful and the Democrats are sore losers.
His lies about his landslide are just pathetic.
This is like nothing anyone has ever seen before.

Sure I see it in our internet-echo-chamber.
But as far as his supporters they just keep throwing it all on the liberal media agenda fire.
The problem we face is opening their eyes and they won't do that until it is damn near too late if even then.
Have to reach the other half at some point. That's the mission without them waking we are just the enemy.

and we let 88 major deplorable universities in 40 states support 257 of those rw stations as they help trump without complaint or protest.
that makes all those universities legitimate places to protest, when the shit hits the fan, or anytime at all, for any trump atrocity.

12. Last night at dinner I asked my hubby if he thought tthe Con was sorry he ever ran for Prerz?
Not only is he taking heat for his tweets he sends without thinking, but a lot of the financial & legal communities are hammrtong him for not divesting himself of his assets or he will be violation of the constitution upon inauguration. His entire world as he knew it is falling apart and HE can't control it! He doesn't deal well with things HE can't have total control over. I really believe he is going to ultimately resign out of frustration....sooner or later.

That's when things will really start to happen.
Right now everything is just words.
Even many of his cabinet picks aren't certain until Congress confirms them.
Once he actually IS the president I expect that things will change because he will have the power to do something about the people who attack him.
He has to be dying to pay back everyone who's criticized him and once he sits at the desk and takes power, a torrent of terror will emanate from the White House, ( or Trump House as the case may be)
It's going to be scary.
He will threaten all the news services and everyone in Congress who tries to stand up to him.
He will also have his lawyers find ways to lash out at anyone who doesn't worship him.
He will try to find ways to punish states that don't approve of him.
It's going to be a nightmare, particularly because the Congress will allow him to do it.
Trump will ensure that anyone who goes against him will feel the wrath of Republican voters and they won't risk their seats in order to do the right thing.
It's not going to be pretty.

He's got Pence in his pocket. So I am seeing amendment 25, section 4 getting used after 'he' is sworn in and before filling the SCOTUS position.
Section 4: Vice Presidential–Cabinet declaration
Section 4 is the only part of the amendment that has never been invoked. It allows the Vice President, together with a "majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide", to declare the President disabled by submitting a written declaration to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. As with Section 3, the Vice President would become Acting President.
Do the dems really believe that the VP and congress is going to overthrow a sitting president?

Can we start an office-style pool? After the Inaugural goes off without a hitch, what will DU-folks' next Trump-Is-Toast fantasy be? The Amendment 25, Section 4 fantasy has potential, but will it have four weeks of legs? Will the Trump Was Never Serious And Will Soon Resign fantasy be recycled into zombie-like life? Maybe some sort of Fundie Gun-Nuts Will Assassinate Trump Over Melania's Nudes Pictures fantasy (maybe TMN would bite on that one if creatively trolled).

I know spill chukar is not perfect, but I don't think that verb is any dictionary of the English language (or slanguage, for that matter).
I'm sure it would be easy to find some one in the "financial & legal communities" who would advocate impeaching Trump for breathing, so that's not exactly an impressive basis.
But don't let my scorn cause you to hesitate! Go for it! Get the best legal mind out there with regard to impeachment! Bring in ........ laserhaas!

It is right after the part where you have to disclose your income tax returns. Our Forefathers were able to see into the future and know there would be an income tax amendment passed 100 plus years later so they wrote that into the document. :-)

Why on earth do they think that it's some sort of "fiasco" if a bunch of Hollyweird Leftists don't show up and wet-blanket the festivities? No one really pays any attention to anything after the actual inauguration anyway. The Trumps and the Obamas will take a limo ride down Pennsylvania Avenue, Trump will utter the important 38 words, then give some rousing speech, and then he's gone. Fashionistas will eye dresses going into different balls, but no one really gives a shit about that five minutes later. I don't care if they hire out a couple of garage bands in Glen Burnie or Silver Spring to play these balls: the Trumps will put in a cursory appearance at each, maybe dance a little, and then they're gone. If history is any precedent, Trump's feet will hit the floorboards in the East Wing at about 0500 on the morning of January 21 and he'll get to work from there.

I've heard the same about Obama, and in retrospect, it's unsurprising at all that he had such a lackadaisical attitude toward the job.
And it's not that I begrudge any President the opportunity to have some leisure time because I get it that it's a 24/7 job. Whether he wants to or not, Donald Trump will clock in at noon on January 20 and he will not clock out until 35,064 hours later, and there's a pretty good likelihood that he'll immediately clock in for another 35,064-hour day on January 20, 2020. So I don't have any problem with someone taking some time off or occasionally sleeping late when they're otherwise working 70K hours in a row. But when you look back at other Presidents, it sure seems like Obama had a flippant attitude toward the whole thing literally from day one.
Remember way back when, immediately after he first took office? He came into the Oval, late, took off his coat and cranked up the heat, at the very time that he was telling the American people that they have to conserve energy and that he was going to jack up the cost of heating their homes. Looking back, that was a rather prophetic "let them eat cake" moment.

Someone did a pretty interesting look at the life of the President a couple of years ago. History Channel or one of those. They pointed out that the President normally gets awakened by a phone call at I think 0500 or maybe 0530 every morning from Langley, or maybe it's Fort Meade, with an update on threats facing the nation. This is before the PDB is presented in written form later that morning. I can envision Obama sort of muttering into the phone before hanging it up and rolling back over for another couple of hours. Compare and contrast that with Reagan and especially W., who was "notoriously punctual," well-known around DC as being an early-riser, early into the office, and kept a meticulous schedule. Reagan was especially known for his office decorum: you did not go into the White House for anything unless you were wearing a coat and tie or the proper female equivalent. Obama, though, wandered around the West Wing in jeans and a golf shirt many days.
I would certainly like to hope that, if nothing else, Trump will return that sense of punctuality, efficiency, and decorum to the West Wing. I'd say it's pretty sorely needed right about now.

Judging by what was visible and his results, I've long guessed that WJC was a slacker. Albeit to a lesser degree, he had the same affinity for golf and jetsetting that BHO does. Re the latter, various Presidents' choices for where they went to unwind was rather telling, if you think about what could be done in terms of communications:
* GWB went to his property in Crawford, TX;
* GHWB went to his property in Kennebunkport, ME;
* RWR went to his ranch near Santa Barbara, CA;
* JEC went to Camp David (long a US-owned Presidential retreat) or his property in Plains, GA.
Because they went to the same places most of the time and to places they or the US government owned, communications could be set up once, semi-permanently and robustly. By going to different places around the world, WJC and BHO cost taxpayers lots of $$ in set-up and tear-down, and the communications capabilities were less robust. This was a reflection, IMO, of how seriously these various men went about their job. Re, JEC, I think he was a very poor POTUS, but it wasn't for a lack of a work ethic (IOW, Carter worked hard at being wrong, :-) ).

This has been slightly lower on my list, but still... like it or not, a serious issue.
I'm a pretty casual type. I believe in a relaxed work environment where possible, people seem to do better.
That being said, Obama has been an absolute embarrassment. The office of The President should not convey a leisurely attitude, ever. The world is watching.
The worlds stage has this asshat standing front and center. The world does not see us, they see him.
That arrogant swagger, informal mannerism in public, wagging his finger at us at every opportunity. This guy can't go away fast enough.
Trump? I don't know yet.
He does appear to be looking in the right direction. I may have voted for him, but I'm definitely not in love with him.
I have high expectations that promises will be kept and he gets the benefit of doubt from me. He is the type who doesn't rest much, he has that going for him already.
Of all the things he is being called, even a DUmmie can't call him lazy... that's for certain.
