Trump and Sisi discuss Middle East peace
Egyptian President and U.S. President-Elect agree to allow Trump's administration to deal with Israel-PA peace issues.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Thursday night spoke with U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump, Sisi's office said, according to Reuters.
The call came hours after the UN Security Council postponed indefinitely a vote on Egypt's draft resolution denouncing Israeli “settlements”.
"During the call they discussed regional affairs and developments in the Middle East and in that context the draft resolution in front of the Security Council on Israeli settlement," said Sisi’s spokesman, Alaa Yousef.
"The presidents agreed on the importance of affording the new U.S. administration the full chance to deal with all dimensions of the Palestinian case with a view of achieving a full and final settlement," he added.
Thursday’s vote on the UN Security Council resolution was reportedly postponed after Sisi instructed his nation’s delegation to push for a delay in the vote.
Trump had earlier called for the United States to veto the resolution, as it has traditionally done with similar proposals. American officials indicated that the Obama administration was planning to abstain from voting or even to vote yes.
Sisi recently praised Trump and said he expected greater engagement in the Middle East from his administration.
Trump: accomplishing more in the two months before he is sworn in than Obama has in 8 years.
Trump is a man who gets things done. Obama is a guy who rides girls bikes.

Have DU-folk started howling about this yet?
Much as I'm sure al-Sisi would probably prefer a world without Israel and Jews, I suspect he appreciates the value of having a non-idiot POTUS.

It's my understanding that Egypt gets money for it's military from the U.S. in exchange for keeping the peace with Israel. Obama nearly f*** up the arrangement in the situation with Hosni Mubarak.
Obama trying to remake the world in his far-leftist way. :hammer:

Trump is already acting more presidential than Obama has for the last 8 years. Obama is on vacation, while President Trump is handling the nation's business.
Suck on that DUmmies.

There's been 8 years' worth of Obamian F-Ups - foreign and domestic - so it's good that Trump has hit the ground running.

That is because Trump actually put in the hours to be a success. I was not a Trump fan originally. The more I saw how he worked his ass off to win the more I liked him.
I would expect him to do the same as president. He may screw up from time to time but it ain't gonna be cause he was out golfing. The US always seemed to come up with the exact president we needed at certain key times in its history. This is one of those times and I think Trump will rise to the challenge. :cheersmate:

Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II had strong work ethics. The Ds haven't had a President with a decent work ethic - wisdom of policies aside - since Carter.

Man, I'm banking on it myself.
I hated the guy in the beginning, didn't like the way he campaigned and I'll leave it at that.
But he quite obviously plays to win and sure as hell isn't afraid to stick his neck out when he needs to.
I'm sure he'll piss me off more than once along the way, but I've got a pretty good feeling so far about his motives in general.

I went over to Skins's island to see if the primitives were bitching about the president-to-be taking over the reins of diplomacy because the president-about-not-to-be is too busy playing golf, expecting to find at least a few brush-fires, but found not even a burned-out campfire.
One has to agree this is extraordinary.
But that the primitives aren't bitching about the president-presumptive superintending American diplomacy while the president-present is still in power until January 20 betrays that the primitives are finally too demoralized to bitch about anything of importance at all.

The Electoral College vote seems to have dashed quite a few DU-folks' fantasies of there be a President Not-Trump. They've turned their energies to snarling about the horrible things they know Trump will perpetrate and how they imagine Trump voters will come to realize and rue "what they have done".
From the perspective of The DUmpster we have prospects of seeing what mental contortions and pretzellations DU-folk conjure and perform over the coming 4 or 8 years as they see that the morally horrible things they fantasized Trump would do were never attempted. I have great confidence in their capacity for intellectual dishonesty and mental pretzellization and vacuity.

He appears to be Reaganesque. :-)
