Sorry if this is the wrong place for this. Just wanted to give you guys an interesting bit of salt to rub into wounds.
Just a little fuel for the fire. The primitives seem to think the Electoral Collage is not needed. Not even getting into the sad fact that they were too stoned to go to civics class. I crunched the numbers on the past election but removed the votes on each side from the states of New York and California. The results were interesting......
National total New York California
Trump 2,640,570 3,916,209
62,979,636
Clinton
65,844,610 4,143,874 7,362,490
Adjusted for the removal of New York and California
Trump
56,422,857
Clinton
54,338,246
So would a primitive in a state other than these really feel that they are represented say if those two states went red as opposed to blue? They would be screaming from the rooftops (or basements really) that the Electoral College is the greatest thing since glass bongs.
Just a little food for thought. :-)

Which is why, of course, no state in its right mind would vote to amend the constitution to abolish it.
What a waste of time and oxygen these DUmbasses are, to think by bleating out post after post about this, that they think they have any power to change it.
On FB, some lib spouted the tired popular vote thing. I wrote back saying "this country is more than California." She wrote back whining "but we count too!!!" Dingbat.

A little visual for the DUmmies that don't understand the math.

Results by just removing California...
Trump
59,063,427
Clinton
58,482,120
So the primitives are OK with California being able to decide for the whole country?
Our founders were not stupid and knew that mob rule (pure democracy) was not fair for the whole country. The needs of a rancher in Wyoming are far different from those of a professional protestor in San Francisco. Should the rancher get to decide laws pertaining to the professional protester? For those that claim to be the smartest among us they have a hard time understanding the one document that spells this out. But par for the course they want to pick and choose those words that seem to fit their agenda at the moment. They have already made a mockery of the first two amendments why not just throw the whole thing out. Imagine the outrage when they are forced to house military members in their own hovels.

It's even worse than that.
Let's look even closer, at some of the cities, specifically New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
Los Angeles:
Los Angeles County
1,893,770
- 620,285
------------
1,273,485
New York
New York County
515,481
- 58,935
------------
456,546
Bronx County
318,403
- 34,424
------------
283,979
Kings County
595,086
- 133,653
------------
461,433
Queens County
473,389
- 138,550
------------
334,839
Chicago
Cook County
1,528,582
- 440,213
------------
1,088,369
Now, we add up all of those number there, and we get this:
1,273,485
456,546
283,979
461,433
334,839
+1,088,369
---------------
3,898,651
This means that from just these three cities alone, Clinton won the popular vote by about a million votes.

But math and logic aside...
Trump=Hitler, cheeto head orange guy, Russians, blah blah blah...

Their electoral votes got counted. Hillary should have invested more time in states like WI and MI instead of assuming she had them in the bag.
-
ATM visits aside, virtually every moment The SHREW-CHILL spent in CA and NY was time she should have spent in the states she lost by close margins. Ditto for most campaign $$ she spent in CA and NY.
Chances are, had Trump spent his time and $$ differently we would be having the inverse of our present conversation. Trump could have won the popular vote, but lost the Electoral College. But he and his Campaign knew which vote elected people President.

And we all know what "Assume" means.

I saw an article yesterday that had a couple of charts listed. One showed how the electoral votes went for Trump in reality.
Then they had a second one showing the electoral vote count disregarding the 100 votes allocated for state senators.
That chart left only the electors based on population and House of Representatives. Trump still won that way, too. Hillary could only have won by a strict popular vote count.
