Kentucky’s Elliott County was established in 1869.
In every election since that time Elliott County has voted for the Democrat candidate.
Until this year when they voted for Donald J. Trump.
Trump won the county 70-26.
This was the longest streak of any county voting Democratic in the United States. It was also the last Southern rural county to have never to vote for a Republican in any Presidential election until 2016.
