What can Obama do?
Last edited Fri Dec 2, 2016, 09:30 AM - Edit history (1)
To try and bring the country together, as the new President-elect continues to divide and to shock the common senses of many Americans?
Whose responsibility is it to be gracious? Who's responsibility is it to unite our country toward a common purpose?
Donald Trump is not a uniter. Donald Trump is a divider. That is who he is. That is the environment in which we must work and live for the next four years? He is not going to change.
We will probably survive but we will be a lesser nation, weakened by the division and hatred and the threats of punishment and revenge. It is difficult to see how we come out of this election in a better place?
Is there anything President Obama can do to improve the present situation? Can he give a speech? Can he talk with our allies and re-assure them that we are still by their side? Can he convince the majority of Americans that we will survive this crisis and come out stronger than ever before?
We are in a constitutional crisis and the new President-elect continues to ignore it. Meanwhile, the clock keeps ticking...
Obama is going to go play golf. He does not now, nor has he ever, given a flying **** about anything except himself.
Especially YOU, kentuck.

<<<am curious as to who 0bozo "united."

The GOP. Their contempt of president 3-putt, his amateur hour presidency and of his heir apparent (Hillary) has finally united the establishment and grass roots wings of the party.

I usually reserve the term "black Jesus" for Tiger Woods.
He played again yesterday for the first time in well over a year, the Golf Channel (NBC) was practically fellating him all day long.
He shot 1 over, he's about 9 strokes off the lead.

President Obama had eight years and his term is up on January 20, 2017 at noon.

The "division" went into high gear in 2007 and was complete by 2012.
Donald Trump simply recognized that the larger portion of society has had enough pandering.
We simply don't give a single damn what you want anymore, you had your day.
Get in, maggot. We are making America great again.

To try and bring the country together...
I'm sure that's the last thing in the world on his agenda.
-
I love that the DUmmies feel Trump has so much power. In their minds he is about to destroy everything. Only a really powerful person would be able to do that.

I'm not surprised. They believe that Obama has the same power. - or at least wish that he did.

I suppose he could go bow to some more foreign leaders before Trump takes office.

Well, to be fair, he did a pretty good job of uniting the Black Lies Murder crowd. So there's that.

Hey, the DUmmies firmly believed that Dick Cheney & Karl Rove used their weather machine to steer Hurricane Katrina to kill black people. You have to remember what infantile minds they have.

We really shouldn't have let BSS turn the ParGen up to 11 that day.

And that's just it. You throw big words at infants and they just repeat them, with no recognition of meaning, whatsoever.

Here's hoping that a useless, degenerate, infantile fvck like you doesn't live to the 2018 midterms. :cheersmate:

He united every red blooded American who had had enough of his BS.

We are in a constitutional crisis
A bunch of whiny, hysterical snowflakes who can't take a loss is NOT a Constitutional Crisis. It's a societal tragedy and one reason why the Department of Education should be dismantled.

I somewhat disagree. The GOP establishment hates Trump almost as much as the democrats.

If obungles had a son, who would he look like?
Take this compliment for what it is worth:
You are a willfully blind practitioner of political idolatry. I.E. a manipulable, useful idiot. You are not smart enough to understand the depths of the stupidity that you support, or the degree to which you have been exploited, which makes you at least a shade better than probably most of your leaders who understand it full well.
Pat yourself on the back. Well done.

"Donald Trump is not a uniter. Donald Trump is a divider."
Obama is a total divider, the most divisive US president I've ever witnessed.
All through his term, he has been pretty much deliberately seeking ways to turn American citizens against each other along economic (Regularly demonizing the rich, openly cheering on Occupy Wall Street), religious (Ending the celebration of National Day of Prayer, which had been observed by the President each year for over 60 years and whose roots go all the way back to George Washington, and constantly trying to find new ways to give the finger to Christians and Jews while simultaneously kissing up to Muslims in every way he can), racial ("If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon Martin,"), and ESPECIALLY political lines (i.e. He once gave a speech in which he identified various GOP fundraisers and benefactors by name and openly accused them of "Betting against America").
Let's not also forget that when he announced his planned executive order to give blanket amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, he gave a speech in which he openly accused those who opposed it of racism/ xenophobia.
For a president billed as "The Great Unifier," Obama has left America more divided than ever. I'd say that's a big part of what his legacy will be.

Umm . . . I had been watching This Is Spinal Tap earlier in the day . . . :o :whistling:
