It was another 5-4 decision.  One more wrong vote would have made us a slave to the "World Court".

Please fight to elect John McCain.  At least he offers possibilties of proper judges.  Obama is a sure bet against it.

Good, an illegal immigrant, who participated in killing two, Texas girls while "jumping in" fellow illegal immigrants into his gang, had his actions returned and will never be able to enact his devious activities again.

Adios cucaracha! I remember this case well back in 1993. It was really heinous. Two teenage girls, Jennifer Ertman and Elizabeth Pena were murdered by a bunch of low life gangs.

Mexican-born killer put to death in Texas

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) - With the parents of his victims watching a few feet away, a Mexican-born condemned killer apologized before he was executed for his part in a horrific attack on two teenage girls 15 years ago.
"I'm sorry my actions caused you pain," Jose Medellin told the teens' parents late Tuesday. "I hope this brings you the closure that you seek."

Nine minutes later, Medellin was pronounced dead. His execution, the fifth this year in Texas, was delayed for about four hours while the U.S. Supreme Court weighed his appeal.

*snip*

Medellin, who was 18 at the time, was one of five to get the death penalty for the girls' deaths.

One companion, Derrick O'Brien, was executed two years ago. Another, Peter Cantu, described as the ringleader of the group, is awaiting execution but a date has not been set.

"Looking forward every day to that," said Adolfo Pena, Elizabeth's father.

Good riddance to that P.O.S.

I am ashamed of myself.  I was so excited about the "World Court" being rendered meaningless I was actually cheering in my heart when I heard the news of this murderer's demise.  I am ashamed because I lost focus about what is really important.  Justice is served.

As I posted otherwhere, they should have decorated the guy in crepe paper and hung him from a rope while blindfolded kids beat him to death with sticks.

Then they could have told Mexico that they were at least honoring their cultural heritage.

The tragedy here is not that the state killed this scumbag. The real tragedy is because of HIS actions, the state was FORCED to kill him to protect the people of the state.
Let us keep the blame where it belongs.

To me the tragedy is that it took so long before justice was carried out.

16. Mexico encourages their people to come here illegally
Edited on Wed Aug-06-08 01:15 PM by Marrah_G
They benefit from the money sent back and put into their economy. If this is the route they want to take then they better add alot more people to their staff if they want to send someone out to talk to every single undocumented Mexican behind bars and we should charge the Mexican government for the extra people we will need to hire to document it all.

This case came about because this asshole and his buddies decided they found a loophole in the law. They had zero interest in being Mexican Nationals before this and were not here to work as so many others are. They were vicious gang members who raped tortured and murdered two young girls for no reason other then they felt like it.

The gang continued drinking and 'shooting the breeze' for some time and then decided to leave. Two brothers who had been with them but testified that they were not in the gang left first and passed Jenny and Elizabeth, who were unknowingly walking towards their deaths. When Peter Cantu saw Jenny and Elizabeth, he thought it was a man and a woman and told the other gang members that he wanted to jump him and beat him up. He was frustrated that he had been the one who was unable to fight Raul.

The gang members ran and grabbed Elizabeth and pulled her down the incline, off of the tracks. Testimony showed that Jenny had gotten free and could have run away but returned to Elizabeth when she cried out for Jenny to help her.

For the next hour or so, these beautiful, innocent young girls were subjected to the most brutal gang rapes that most of the investigating officers had ever encountered. The confessions of the gang members that were used at trial indicated that there was never less than 2 men on each of the girls at any one time and that the girls were repeatedly raped orally, anally and vaginally for the entire hour. One of the gang members later said during the brag session that by the time he got to one of the girls, "she was loose and sloppy." One of the boys boasted of having 'virgin blood' on him.

The 14-year-old juvenile later testified that he had gone back and forth between his brother and Peter Cantu since they were the only ones there that he really knew and kept urging them to leave. He said he was told repeatedly by Peter Cantu to "get some". He raped Jennifer and was later sentenced to 40 years for aggravated sexual assault, which was the maximum sentence for a juvenile.

When the rapes finally ended, the horror was not over. The gang members took Jenny and Elizabeth from the clearing into a wooded area, leaving the juvenile behind, saying he was "too little to watch". Jenny was strangled with the belt of Sean O'Brien, with two murderers pulling, one on each side, until the belt broke. Part of the belt was left at the murder scene, the rest was found in O'Brien's home. After the belt broke, the killers used her own shoelaces to finish their job. Medellin later complained that "the bitch wouldn't die" and that it would have been "easier with a gun". Elizabeth was also strangled with her shoelaces, after crying and begging the gang members not to kill them; bargaining, offering to give them her phone number so they could get together again.

The medical examiner testified that Elizabeth's two front teeth were knocked out of her brutalized mouth before she died and that two of Jennifer's ribs were broken after she had died. Testimony showed that the girls' bodies were kicked and their necks were stomped on after the strangulations in order to "make sure that they were really dead."

Our neighbor south of the border do not care about this scumbag. They want the death penalty, while the elites/government don't give a rat's ass for the people. Mexican people want to bring back the death penalty because they got a crime wave there.

My wife is from Mexico and reads her hometown paper daily.  Mexicans are VERY MUCH demanding the Death Penalty.  Kidnapping is rampant, even of simple middle class folk.

I remember reading in the news that one province in Mexico called Mexico, which borders Mexico City voted to reinstate the death penalty. Yes, kidnapping is very rampant there. I have friends from Mexico and they told me about it a lot. Very big problem in Mexico City and they never want to go back to Mexico City.
