Some clever person over at a subterranean right-wing website
thinks he/she's being even more clever by posting about me and my posts on DU by using my meatspace name in his/her postings. I think that's pretty amusing, since I include a link in my signature line on DU that leads anyone who wants to click it to that information. I gave up pretending that I was anonymous on the internet many years ago. I used to have another link in my signature line that did the same thing, but dropped that link because someone accused me of advertising my tiny little web content business.
It's a losing battle, trying to maintain anonymity, if you're active online. So, I stopped pretending long ago. I use the name MineralMan on DU because screen names are a standard sort of thing here. I've used it on every political website I've joined for many years. But, I'm not anonymous, nor do I pretend to be. I'm not anonymous in any way, nor do I care about such things.
So, posting my name somewhere isn't some sort of subtle threat nor does it reveal some sort of secret knowledge. Anyone who thinks so is just silly. Someone told me in a private message about this. I simply laughed. It's meaningless.

Certainly thinks highly of himself.
When someone is laughing AT you it is NOT aggrandizing. We like to add RL names just for clarity and maybe we will, like this time, get a rise out of you.
God, it is too easy with them.

That's good since it was never meant to be threatening, George. :cheersmate:
And we CCers all agreed years ago not to openly post the Social Security numbers, home addresses and phone numbers, and other personal information of any primitive (unless, of course, they have already done so openly on Skin's island), so not to worry there, either.

15. And I assume that's your portrait as your avatar.
Sorry to hear this is being done to you. It's an attempt to intimidate and that is not acceptable.

16. It is. I use the same caricature on Facebook, too.
I like it. It looks like me, and I got it for free when a company I write for occasionally paid an artist to make it for their contributor profile page. I reduced its size to avatar size and find that it works great as a tiny image.
I'm not easily intimidated, though. A number of people have tried to do that, but have failed to succeed. I'm a crusty old fart who takes little seriously that is directed at me, frankly. It's amazing how often it happens though, and where, too...
So that avatar is rock head himself. I always thought it was Castro since so many of the primitives like to use pictures of their lefty heroes for their avatars.

I don't know if this rock head post has been covered over here but it contains this funny exchange:

Postmortems are useful, but don't get your hopes up.
The odds of reversing this election approach zero. The EC will vote according to the results in those states. Recounts will not reverse the results. We're going to have an orange-haired nitwit in the White House and Republicans in charge of both houses of Congress. I cannot see any way that's going to change, realistically.
It's time to start trying to figure out how to minimize the damage, not to try to find ways to change the outcome of the 2016 election. I can't imagine that happening in any conceivable way.
It's time to plan for how to keep this cluster-**** from destroying our country. That's the real discussion.
Sorry to be blunt. Sorry to disappoint. Sorry we lost, especially. I voted for Hillary. Hillary carried my state. Minnesota voters kept our Democratic House members. This is where I live. Others live in places where Hillary lost. I can't explain what happened there.
Moving on...

I'm moving on to look for ways to obstruct the Republicans' plans, frankly. The election is over.

10. I don't know, but that's what my focus is now.
I'll start by upping my communications with my elected representatives, all of whom are Democrats, except for the President-elect. I'll also be talking with other Democrats in my area to see what we can come up with. We have two Democratic Senators and one Democratic House member in my district. They will be working tirelessly to block terrible appointments and actions, and will be working to convince some Republicans in Congress to act with them.
As for myself, I'm not a powerful person, politically. I'm just a lowly precinct chair in St. Paul, MN. Individually, I'm not sure what I'll be able to do.
So, you are going to waste everyone's time by urging your representatives to do what they intend on doing anyway: interfere with Trump's agenda. They will fail, and through them, you.
You are in your 70s -- time to get onto an ice floe and relieve your family of their burden that is you. It is better than the pain you will experience for not just the next 16 years but beyond (assuming you make it that far) since President Trump will probably select 3 SCOTUS Justices and President Pence another at least.

We're toasted legs. He's upping his communications. :bawl:
