Title: Pam has an "accident", looks to go on gravy train
Post by: sharkhawk on November 24, 2016, 07:02:43 AM
Looks like our favorite teacher is having some personal difficulties and wants to get on the gravy train before Trump takes office.

4. I have Crohn's disease-pretty severe and get pancreatitis and now C-Diff and first round of meds fa

Doctor says I am depressed about the whole situation

i also might not have a job. i crapped my pants in a classroom full of kids and mortified and humiliated I ran.

Do not know if I have a job left or not.

Doc has written a note saying that I should not be in the classroom because it is getting worse.

Wow, just wow.

I had just finished reading that thread when I came over here.  What struck me is that when the DUmmies ask for advice on how to get on the gravy train, there is never, ever a shortage of advice.

Seems like most of them have experience in getting aboard that train.

She'll need that safety pin after all.

A diaper might fix the problem for Pam, but those poor kids are probably scarred for life.

The Doc has realized that you are a raving loon and should not be around anyone in a civilized society, let alone children.

I don't even know what the heck "C-Diff" is.  Not only do the DUmmies know what it is but 1/2 have had it or have family with it.

Only a libtard would take pride in having maladies -- especially mental ones.  Conservatives generally find diseases as being a weakness and try to work through them.  That may not be the best health option but it really highlights the difference in philosophy.

C-Diff is short hand for Clostridium difficile.  It is a pretty nasty bug that gets into your gut.  Very contagious.  Can cause lots of GI problems.  Usual treatment is oral vancomycin as a first line.  Usually clears it up.  Mix that with Chron's I would say her life pretty much is in the crapper (pun intended).  However, I do not think that such conditions would qualify for disability.  When she gets to the point of being on TPN for 24 hours a day and after having most of her colon and intestine removed, then maybe.  If any thing, she needs short term disability, which the school district may offer till she is healed.

Surprised she didn't blame it on Bush or Trump.

Clostridium difficile, a bacterial  infection of the bowel. Mortality in the US is roughly 5%. Nasty stuff.

A friend of mine, coincidentally a teacher in the Kansas City area with a student population like Pam's, caught it from his school- perhaps not so coincidentally after all.

Unfortunately I came down with C-Diff last year after my 3rd shot at a hiatal hernia repair. Basically it's a bacterial infection common to people who have recently had surgery. Hospitals are full of sick people supposedly. Lol! Anyways, that's the sickest I've ever been in my life. No details but I lost 20 pounds while I was fighting it off. There were a couple of times the wife almost bundled me off to the ER she was so worried.
Unlike the dummies, I didn't miss any work although I did have to leave early a few times to head to the doctor for more tests and meds. I also didn't go looking for the gravy train. It sucks and I've had one minor recurrence the morning we were heading off to a trip to Alaska but a quick call to my doctor at the airport and he had a script of antibiotics waiting for me at a pharmacy in Seattle when I landed. No muss no fuss and we had a fabulous trip.
Dummies make me sick and after this last election I'm not in a mood to get along with them.

3. I've heard it varies from state to state for some reason
....

Others I know have waited that long as well except for a friend here in Florida who got it right away for diabetes. It may also depend on what the medical problem is.

Geezus, these people as skimming for having diabetes?
I know a very few people who are actually disabled by it, and usually not until they are elderly and start losing organs and limbs.
My own mother had a heart-attack quite a few years back and after going back to work the doc kept warning her to stop or it would likely kill her. She was denied disability when she applied for it out of actual necessity.... after all those years of paying into it. Man this stuff pisses me off.

Some people will do anything to get a ticket on that gravy train.

That's exactly what I was thinking, Big Dog.  I mean, any fool can just shit their pants at will, and if it gets them one step closer to that great big gravy train, well...

And H5, Mr. Wiggum.
