New York Governor Unveils Hate-Crime Unit, Plans Taxpayer-Funded Defense Of Criminal Illegal Immigrants

The focus of Cuomo's speech was what he described as an "explosion" in hate crimes since Election Day that has prompted the creation of a special police unit to fight the uptick in New York.

The explosion of hate crimes has been attacks on Trump supporters or on anyone who LOOKS like they might be a Trump supporter, but somehow I don't think that's what Cuomo is thinking about...

I'd wager that Dandy Andy has internal polls that say that this is an issue that can win him votes in 2018.  If he loses his gubernatorial race here in the PRNY, he's finished as a Presidential contender in 2020.
