The perfect crime.. Shock Doctrine USA! We've been had. It's over folks.
Bush is looting the entire country. He created this crisis on purpose. The private equity firms are eating things up right now. Banks, mortgages, pension funds, public property.. EVERYTHING!
Governors are going to have to put everything up for sale. Roads, bridges, airports, schools, libraries, everything.
Even the police and fire will be privatized.
Grover Norquist has won.
The beauty of the mortgage crisis, is that it depletes the property tax revenue. That's why they will get everything. Not enough taxes to save them.
Carlyle, and the groups will steal the country for pennies on the dollar.
Even if we win the WH, it will be too late. Everything will be up for sale.
The antrax story is a message. "Say one word about what we are doing and we will kill you".. And it's working..
Will NOBODY stand up and tell the American people what's happening?
Silence.
I'm not focusing on anything else but this from now on.

Rats on a sinking ship Bijou. They scream and deny it all they want, but they know that Obama is just going to lose this election. All the nuts and bolts are coming loose over there and the crazy is in overdrive.Amazing, I presumed that the MSM was in the bag for Obama and that's usuall enough to keep their self delusion going. If they are losing it this badly while the polls are more or less level they must be more connected to reality than I gave them credit for.

It is truly amazing how the record property tax revenues were spent at an even greater rate by all the politicians, government unions, and bureaucrats. How did Bush do it?

That's right, DUmmies. You are living inside the script of "Rosemary's Baby". All you have to do now is go through the door in the back of the closet and join us. Rove is your satan and Cheney is your Dr. Saperstein.

Or the windfall of revenue that has been generated from sales taxes with the price of gas rising.

Isn't it funny how little has been said of this? Of course, it's the "evil BFEE" sucking down the tax money, but seriously, the government makes, what, 3 or 3.5 times as much on gas as the "evil oil companies." :thatsright:
The tax burden will not go away nor will it lessen by reassesemnt if the property value drops.....it just doesn`t work that way on property taxes.
Tell me where I am wrong.

Technically if the value of the reassessed property is lessened, and the tax is based on $X per $1000 of value, then the taxes on that property would be less. In reality what happens is the city and/or county commission, upon recognizing that property values have dropped, will raise the $X per $1000 rate to make up the difference.

Would someone try to explain just what the eff she is talking about here?
I would think in most places it works like this...
A person defaults on a mortgage and their taxes.
Both the taxing government and the lender will claim the property and my guess is the government comes first.
The lender will pay the back taxes and assume full posession of the property which they will then attempt to sell to someone to recover their investment.

"That's why they will get everything. Not enough taxes to save them."how exactly do they 'get everything' if there 'arent enough taxes to save them'...?

Exactly. The equalization rate. I've been working on eq rate "studies" for some time now, in addition to my other work here.
