Help. How do I stop lashing out against people who disagree with me.
I have always been a very agreeable person, but this election has brought out the worst in me. I can't bear to read or hear a word from anyone who isn't wholeheartedly on our side. Any contrary viewpoint or dissention brings out rage in me. I have never been like this but I am lashing out at people left and right. Even people that I like. I feel like I am losing my mind.
I have to see my family for Thanksgiving next week and I really don't want it to be a shitshow. It's usually when the guys in the family start drinking that the political fights start - I try to stay out of it, but I don't trust myself right now. I just want to crawl in a hole and hide until this is all over, but I know that is not possible.
How do you deal with it all?
Face it,the best part of you ran down your fathers leg.

1. I allow my family to hold their opinion and let them I let them know I am not
Going to follow the dumb republicans nor will believe the crap they believe just because it was said on FOX.
Which makes them laugh at you.

11. Thanks. I will at least have my own room. I will just have to not engage.
It's not worth it.

3. If it is brought up...I usually get a few shots in and then go outside and smoke pot.
That's pretty much what I do no matter what happens
There is a surprise. ::)

4. I've advised my non-liberal friends that I won't discuss politics with them.
My best friend is a conservative, although I don't know how she voted. I just told her that I don't want to know who among us voted for Trump, as it would likely have an adverse effect on our friendship. I have liberal friends that I can blow steam with.
Which is why the world considers you a cum stain on the back seat of life.

16. I've gone the other direction--just totallly clammed up. Mainly because
I can not help but look at everyone I see--both male and female--and assume the worst (that the were Trump supporters). Then my contempt begins to bleed over into my thoughts and if I dared to talk about anything topical, I'd surely blow a gasket.
So, I try to say innocuous things, but just stew or "trance" out.
And they look at you like you are a lunatic.

What is wrong with people? The man is an idiot. I've never been more ashamed of my country.

You can say a lot of things about Trump, but not that he is an idiot - Anybody who can successfully turn a million dollars into 10 billion within a single lifetime is not dumb.

16. I've gone the other direction--just totallly clammed up. <----Mainly because I've spent the last year taunting then relentlessly over a president Hillary and they just took it saying nothing. I've made an ass of myself and they don't have to say a thing to make me miserable. In-fact, because their not saying anything it just makes me more pissed because it makes me look childish in comparison.

I'll go a step further - his pre-election statements about the election being rigged and possibly challenging the election were pure genius, and Hillary was the idiot in falling for it. She backed herself into a position where neither she nor the DNC can question the integrity of voting machines or even ask for a vote audit without looking like she's completely against American democracy.

And that is why you fail, grasshoppah. There is no discussion with a self-righteous hypocrite and we know it. so we just simply laugh at you and enjoy your torment.

For that matter, Lord Zero also said that the election process could be trusted and talk of it being rigged was nonsense.
What I want to know is why are the DUmmies all upset when they said over and over that if Trump won the election, they would be taking their natural gifts and talents to Canada?

Primitive asks how to stop being a shit bag to people
Simple. Buy a big bag of heroin, have your tranny lover boost you up with it while you slit your wrists. See how easy that is? You put yourself out of your misery, you've put anyone around you out of YOUR misery too, and have made the world a better place. You do want the world to be a better place, don't you, smirkymonkey?
:loser: :naughty:

I just want to crawl in a hole and hide until this is all over, but I know that is not possible.
Of COURSE you can.
* Dig a deep hole.
* Make a pull tap door on the top -- pile twice your size and weight worth of dirt on the door.
* Get in hole
* pull the cord
All problems solved!

Thanksgiving, An annual holiday where DUmmies reveal their inability to socialize with normal people.

To add just a little more misery to the special little snowflakes......the election was as close to Thanksgiving as possible this year being held on the 8th and all. It's still going to be pretty fresh on every one's minds around the Thanksgiving table!

Yep, the suicide hotlines will be on full alert and at code black this season.

Since Grandma has been gone, holidays are happening at my house most frequently now and the rancorous and grumpies end up at the fold-up table in the garage. It's only when a guy wants a cigar that he has to go out there and endure them

Every time the discussion wanders away from "safe" stuff like football or cars or etc., just smile and say, "I like pie." The worst thing that could happen is you'll be given a partially consumed pumpkin or apple pie to take home. OTOH, your family will be amazed at how much more intelligent you've become in the past year.

You can't. There's a price to be paid when you sell your soul then, drop the mask.
You're insane, now. Deal with it.

I am continually baffled by people who hold their own family at such low value that they dread family events because they might have to discuss a political topic where they disagree with someone.

I used to be, but then I discovered the (D)Ump, in 2004. The insanity is very clear now. :-)

I don't know. It seems that every momentary brush with sanity does that to the infants. They want confirmation (of their illness) bias, not truth. They're warped, now insanely frustrated, dangerously confused and irreparably broken.
There's no other way to say it. They're stupid. :shrug:

These are the people who threw a series of tantrums at Thanksgiving 2004, including one who literally (at least according to his own report) threw a tofurkey through the plate glass window in his family's dining room before storming out of the house in tears. They are pretty clearly beyond redemption so long as they are so absurdly self-absorbed in DU-esque politics.
