Republicans now dominate state government, with 32 legislatures and 33 governors

With a firm grip on the presidency, Congress, and soon the Supreme Court, Republicans have won more political power in 2016 than in any election since at least 1928, when Herbert Hoover was elected to the White House. Democrats now face a deep hole they need to climb out of to fight back against the coming reactionary policy shift of the pending Trump administration and its allied state governments.

I noticed that the dailykos has a story on the new leadership in the Dem senate. What is funny is that the cranky old commie, the Bernster, is the new chairman of the outreach committee.

A senator who is not a democrat is a leader of a democrat leadership committee?

I also noticed that they gave a position to sen. Manchin. I don't remember which one but surly this is designed to keep him from wandering off the ranch.
