Title: Poll: How do you intend to celebrate the election?
Post by: fatboy on November 12, 2016, 09:47:00 AM
Vote as often as you want but be advised that I have my thumb on the scale!  :-)

I have a new AR-15
I got more ammo
I don't like Glocks (they don't fit my hand properly). I'll use my Springfield XD in .40.

I have a good rifle and ammo. It's time to brush up on hand to hand. A Krav Maga gym just opened a few blocks down. Think I'll check them out.

That's exactly it.  How'd you guess?

I suspect it wasn't a guess - I have a knack for remembering trivial facts. The odds are there was a post made at sometime declaring the model & size, and I remembered it. - Its not something I intended to do - I can't tell you when the post was made, or even if it was here or at our old home, just that it was, and it stuck.

Best weapon for manual self-defense ever contrived by man.

But it has to be the S/K-Dresser Industries brand, no other one'll do, with the 1-3/8" span and a handle 17" long.  Any other size, one might as well be using a feather.

If the shrew had been elected I probably would've stocked up on some more 223 for my AR.  Now that Trump has won I don't have to.

While driving to the grocery store this morning, I noticed that the Trump supporters in town don't seem to be in any kind of a hurry to take down their Trump yard signs.  I hope they leave them standing until Christmas.

I will celebrate by waiting till prices go down and buying the gun of my dreams. Then stopping by an army surplus store and getting a few ammo boxes. I will them proceed to fill them all up.

Mine isn't actually found in the poll.

As a couple of you might half-remember reading :)  I took Old Glory into my home on January 20, 2009, folded her reverently, and placed her on a shelf of honor until the dishonor done her in Washington has been removed.

My flagpole stood bare for a few months...then was graced with the Gadsden up until the present day.

On January 20, when the words of the Oath have been spoken, I will lower the Gadsden and hoist Old Glory to her proper place.  She will fly until sunset, when that particular flag will be taken down, refolded, and placed in a triangular box frame.  A bright new flag, ordered from the Annin factory with the request that it be made fresh on or after November 9, will fly from January 21 until such time as dishonor once again stains this nation.

Excellent.

I have a story very similar to yours. We had on our house an American Made American flag and on the garage a Gadsden flag. The American flag became worn and tattered a while back so I took it down but to my discredit, couldn't muster the energy to replace it. So all we had was the Gadsden flag.

The Gadsden flag is now 12 years old and in very bad shape. So on Saturday I went to a flag store nearby and purchased a really nice American Made American Flag and it now flies over the free skies of NE PA. The Gadsden flag is now retired along with our old Old Glory. I'm thinking about putting another American flag on the garage, not sure yet.

I can't get those . . . yet.  When President Trump nominates his first SCOTUS justice, the lawsuit against the New York 'SAFE Act' will go forward . . . and it will be overturned by a 5-4 vote.  Then, I can get one. :whistling:

I'll have to check.  Uppers, as long as there's no flash suppressor or muzzle brake attached, or threaded muzzle.

Well, HOPEfully, I'll be buying a brand new shiny suppressor in the next year without having to submit stool samples and half a paycheck to the FBI in order to get it.
