Oh my.
No comments yet; just posted.

Why I believe Trump will embroil us in war(s)
1. His pledge to wage all out war against ISIS
2. His pledge to “rebuild†the military
3. His pledge to use torture
4. His plan to recognize Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel
5. His picks for top National Security and Defense posts- neocon war mongerS
why build up our already more than robust military, if you don’t plan to use it?
Hey cali, you rancid putrid gangrenous old bitch.
**** off and die.

29. For a bunch of ****s who said they didn't need us
they sure seem to the last couple of days. God I hope the site comes back up so they can go back and scream “the sky is falling†there.

5. Gee, looks like the DNC should have run a better candidate, hunh!
I don’t see anything on your list that Hillary would not have done – and she seemed to be fairly panting after a war with Russia. So there’s that.

25. He might.
But one thing’s for damn sure:
Hillary Rodham Clinton won’t be starting any wars. So, I did that much.

Wow.
Like Karin said above, she's not getting the welcome she thought she would.

1. I thought you decided JPR wasn't for you?
I seem to remember you saying something along those lines somewhere (else).
Oh right … there’s been nowhere else for you to post for a few days.

11. Two things JPR needs
a search feature and an ignore button. I’ve noticed that we’ve been over run the last few days by people who this place really isn’t for.
polly7 (1598 posts) (Reply to StupidRedhead - post #11) November 10, 2016 at 11:38 am
19. You got that right.
and people who said nothing but bad things about it and us elsewhere and got a hundred ‘**** them!’ and pats on the back for it.

20. It's a shame that the other place went down.
Suddenly such an avalanche of posts with an unfortunate (and easily recognizable) tenor.

26. I've been flooded with notifications
I was the one who made the first two New Members Check-In Threads, and because of that, I get a notification every time someone responds to the OP.
I’ve been bombarded with notifications the past few days, so no, you’re not imagining things. There’s a flood of new people showing up here … or a flood of people who made accounts a while ago and just started to post (perhaps because they have had nowhere else to go for a few days).

28. I came here because of Mineral Mans post
Mocking the yellow box and saw a lot of DUers are liked which was the day before the hack. Having nowhere to go I did spend more time here than I probably would have but like the forum so far. I do agree with the OP FWIW.
Edit I didn’t know this place existed until the Freeper’s post.

32. The Freepers have posted about JPR?
Ha! You learn something new every day. I’ll take your word for it. I don’t have any desire to wade into that swamp.
JonLP24 (43 posts) (Reply to Autumn Colors - post #32) November 10, 2016 at 12:16 pm
35. Mineral Man is the freeper I was referring to
He used to post some ugly things there than came to DU trying to say he was undercover trying to sway them but it didn’t explain the ugly stuff he posted there and other conservative sites.
Now he DUs favorite freeper and Skinner has his head in the sand regarding him but he is responsible for a lot of the ugly stuff at DU which probably drove members here. I would have came here sooner if I knew this site existed.
Gryneos (743 posts) (Reply to JonLP24 - post #28) November 10, 2016 at 12:23 pm
38. I saw that thread by MM.
And then when I saw DU was down, I thought how ironic, considering MM was commenting on the security here and posting such bravado about it never happening there.
We got hit by bots and DDOS. They got wiped off the ‘net. Or is that “wiped off the map
Maybe he’ll learn never to ask “What could go wrong?†or any variation thereof ;)

30. I love how on this forum we can disagree with each other but it is
almost always respectful and so clearly about making one’s own view as clear as possible in the back and forth responses, and, again, in a respectful way with very little lecturing of others. Very democratic in the vein of the Greek idea of discussion and debate. I don’t want that to get drowned out! The moderators are great on here and it’s unlikely that will happen but I have to admit that I experienced some “alarm bell†moments very recently. I appreciated reading about your experience with the notifications.
Finally the discussion gets back on track, these responses to cali:

24. Yep . . . he might not
But if the crazies & crybabies could get their way and flip those dastardly electors, we can be sure that She would.

5. His picks for top National Security and Defense posts- neocon war mongerS
Just like "PNAC", "neocon is so 00s! Doncha know that "alt-right" is the new bogeyman term to plaster on anyone with whom Libs & Progs disagree?

6. Please use the new ignore function
Just post:
[Initiate Ignore Function]
It’s helpful so someone doesn’t sit around asking him or herself, “What the ****? Am I being ignored?â€

9. Why? Don't care for opinions that differ from yours? There is nothing rude
about my op. It’s simply a presentation of facts which lead me to believe that Trump will lead us into war. How about responding as to why you disagree instead of attacking me?
whatchamacallit (384 posts) (Reply to cali - post #9) November 10, 2016 at 11:33 am
14. Yes, but you seem to be tilting at windmills
Most here didn’t support Trump, and didn’t likely contribute to his election by not voting for HRC, so the browbeating is misplaced and pointless.

17. well then you have your next OP when that place re-opens huh?
ps if we were that closed minded you wouldn’t be posting, do you really think none of us saw or perhaps don’t remember your evisceration of us over there?
davidgmills (2714 posts) (Reply to cali - post #9) November 10, 2016 at 12:21 pm
37. You could drive an 18 wheeler through every one of those Brockian facts.
1. Not much to do with ISIS since Russia is wiping them out and he and Putin are buddies and the Russians are rejoicing that America chose the candidate who wants to be friends with Russia rather than enemies.
2. Rebuild is such an imprecise word. Every candidate wants to rebuild the military.
3. Use torture? When? Somebody is going to detonate a nuclear weapon? I probably would too. And if President’s will drone and assassinate people, is torture worse?
4.What if the Israelis don’t want it? And what part of Jerusalem if they do? Who are we to say they can’t have their choice of capitals if it is on their side and not on the side of the Palestinians?
5. Like every other President hasn’t. And he certainly has not made the neo-cons happy. They wanted her majesty.

10. Yes. They should have. But HRC is now irrelevant. Trump is not.
djean111 (1602 posts) (Reply to cali - post #10) November 10, 2016 at 11:46 am
23. Which is why I will just have to wait and see what Trump actually does,
while seeing what is available in my area for liberals/progressives. I am not a Democrat any more – they went to great and disgusting lengths to nominate someone who is for war and fracking and the TPP and increased H-1B visas and cluster bombs and privatizing Social Security and kissing up to corporations and Wall Street. I was ashamed to belong to a party like that. So I quit. The DNC doesn’t even bother to hide their Third Way neocon shit down here in Florida.

7. Still nowhere as bad as Hillary would have been…
Rozinante (1239 posts) (Reply to original post) November 10, 2016 at 11:35 am
16. Replies:
1: Clinton was arming ISIS allies, and was completely in bed with the Saudis and Qatar who were arming ISIS. While I’d prefer we have a greatly reduced presence in the Middle East, Trumps policy at least makes more sense than Hillarys.
2: after 15 years of Bush and Obamas wars, the military is used up. Equipment is worn out, and the soldiers are fed up. We can’t keep recalling them to go back and serve yet another tour of duty. So no matter who is President, the military is going to require some rebuilding.
3: there’s no way of knowing if Trump or Clinton will use torture. For all we know, Obama may have continued it to some degree. Given the current treatment of whistle-blowers, it’s doubtful anyone is going to speak up.
4: Trump and Clinton probably have similar plans for relationship with Israel.
5: Clintons advisors on foreign policy included Henry Kissinger and Robt Kagan. Trump couldn’t pick anyone worse than that.
Its hard to predict Trumps foreign policy as there’s no previous experience to judge by. Given Clintons close relationship with the Saudis, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to speculate that Trumps relationship won’t be as cozy. And Trumps relationship with Russia doesn’t appear to be the saber-rattling of Clintons. Both are better positions, imo. I think our foreign policy is better served by partnering with Russia than with the Saudis.

Is cali really silly enough to think that comment was a tip of the slongue? It might've been an unsubtle, "Hi! We're here!" Or maybe it was a Berniebot Cave-Onlurker giving her a "warm" welcome.

I see a future where Cali is banned from all leftist sites.

The jackal that called her that has other postings that can be viewed and they're as whacko as they come, so it's not a mole. But man, cali went bonkers when she was called a bitter old Vermontese primitive.
